Sculpted Maps?

Since you all are my favorite bunch of cartographers, I have a question for you regarding maps.

Have you ever seen a 3d sculpted maps of any sorts? Yes, I'm aware of shallow maps in relief on monuments and such, but I'm looking for something more extravagant. The reason I ask is because I'm working on a MFA in sculpture and I'm increasingly drawn to making sculpted maps and I want to get an idea of what is already out there so I can get inspired (read: borrow ideas). Once I get some cool stuff going I'll be sure to post.

This is a 3D sculpted map of the town square where I live. It is very accurate as it is for the blind to navigate.

I'd play a map like that. Get snipers in the tower, legions in the flank. Perhaps a side-bar with some inside positions.
