Johny "The Nose": Eah, yeah sorry Big Tony, it kinda is. I was invited to Vinnie's place yesterday. Vinnie wanted to see me immediate. Two of his guys took me there by car.
Big Tony: Vinnie Vega? What did Vinnie want? Must be important then. He did not even had time to contact me first? Okay, forget about the linguine, i have to lose weight anyhow or people will start to call me Fat Tony soon ( Big Tony laughs loud in a unsecure way).
Johny "The Nose": Vinnie received a tip from way up. Said some psycho hitman or something came to town looking for him and the big man. He said we had to check our back at all times; Vinnie was taking it very seriously.
Big Tony: A hitman coming for Vega and Big Tuna? Who is this guy? Mr. Nuts? No way, that can't be a hitman. No hitman would be stupid enough to go after Big Tuna.
Johny "The Nose": Vinnie did not want to say anything more, just that we had to check in our house and cars every 72 hours. And then he received a phone call.
I was curious so i followed him, said i was gonna take a leak. I overheared some parts of the phone call; i think it was Big Tuna himself who called.
Big Tony: Big Tuna, on the phone himself? No way. You gotta be kidding me!
Johny "The Nose": Yeah, what i could make of it was that Mr. Big Tuna had received extra information. That killer that came to town is some kind of psycho and has no clue who their identities are. All he has is a list of possibible people to be Vinnie or Mr. Big Tuna himself. So Mr. Big Tuna expects he will kill a lot of innocent people just to get to them and be sure. And apparently he has some compulsive disorder to bomb or arson stuff to set people on fire..With some creepy kind of six sense for unattended cars or houses. So the way i got it was if you don't check in every 72 hours that pyromaniac will see an opportunity to prime your car at night, your house or whatever. Like a time bomb you to burn just for fun. Doesn't matter who you are, innocent town or mob. He does this as an "extra"..you know.
Big Tony: Okay, i heared enough. Put the word out on the streets that everybody has to check in every 72 hours or they get primed to go up in flames by some nut case as an "extra". But I want this guy dead asap before he can ignite his targets you hear me? You hear me Big Nose? Dead. As dead as "Four-Eyes Eddy dead", that dead!, not just dead but "Four-Eyes Eddy dead" you got it? Nobody touches our bosses.
Johny "The Nose": Sure Big Tony, we're on it.

So I read this as mod letting us know there's an arsonist or the mod is the extra and is the arsonist and if you don't stay involved in forum at least once every 72 hours he'll prime (mod poke) and then burn ya if you still don't stay involved. Am I reading too much into this?

Who knows, Sonic is probably not going to be the mod that just sits on the side watching, but he gave us this list:

This is Mod confirmation this is a 12 player game (with jfm signing up in extra time).. Please see the random timestamp list...12 entries...no discussion. And also mod confirm that if anybody misses 72 deadline to post that's an extra auto primed target for the 3P who has night action only. His (the 3P's) decision to "ignite" or "prime another".. So consider yourselves warned, all 12 of you (the 3P included because the 3P will auto-prime himself if he misses the 72 hours too...). This is Mod extra confirm to anybody who misunderstood.

To "strike a match" means to ignite a match by rubbing the head against a rough surface, typically a striker strip on a matchbox, to create friction and heat. (PS: if your wondering how BIG TONY TWO GUNS got his nick: BIG TONY TWO GUNS carries a MAGNUM .44 and uses his second big gun to create friction as well)

i played some on another site i used to game on years ago, but haven't played in a long time. last time was maybe 7 or 8 years ago.

Feck, that'd be particularly bad for Town if Mafia have day chat to prompt each other!

I'm trying to work out if I find Kong more likely to be town going on the theory that Sonic would not want a Mafiosi to be the first one primed.
I think/would like to think this tik tok was predetermined by Sonic before game start though.

Whatever the case unless someone comes up with some day action evidence or I really think someone is suspicious, I'm gonna stick with no lynch - which I didn't think I'd ever positively vote for.

My understanding Rag, is that there is a 3P arsonist, with the twist that the arsonist becomes more powerful by getting to prime more players if they don't post.

Makes it more important than ever that Townies post as often as possible.
It should shift some players out of their comfort zones but that in itself would be no bad thing.
Fluff/filler posts become more acceptable too in my book.

But theres one thing that makes me question myself on my last post Rag which is the above.
I didnt get the point of Sonic's 12 items in list bit in the above.
Could be Sonic IS playing the game as the 3P Arsonist and so has predeisgned an order for priming meaning that with his knowledge of who Firefighting is protecting each night, there could be a point which only he would know that he could ignite and win his own game.
If so the bad news for you Rag might be you are the ninth player listed and number 9 is the timestamped first number, meaning you would be predetermined to be first to be primed.

But then it wouldn't really matter who is primed first by an arsonist Sonic, if he plans a mass ignition to win his game - unless he can also win the game by winning with Mafia by being possible mafia traitor as well as arsonist.

Extra Mod clarification: the mod is not a player in any way.

Sign up quotes hinted strongly that "if you betray" (like betray rule 15, this is a mafia game after all) "your flesh should burn" and that the game will surprise you..rule 15 also says you will get a warning.. The "punishment" (as stated in rule 15) however is getting auto-primed by the arsonist..(as extra "prime").

So yes there is an arsonist in the game (3P).

An Arsonist is a role that kills with fire, generally in a delayed way; each Night, an Arsonist can either "prime" a target (setting them up for a later kill), or else "ignite", killing all primed players simultaneously. Neither the Arsonist nor the target is informed of whether the priming was succesfull. Same goes for the auto-prime if you fail the 72 hours (3 days) tik tok countdown timer.

Set -up also hinted that all (town) roles are "soft-altered" so mod advice is to play the game as a basic game. Ofcourse the town role that has to counter the arsonist is not "soft-altered" for balance.
