I like it much, looks nice. Looks very professional, and easy to read.

There could be a problem with some territories being too small, it could get a bit cramped on the small map. Look at the territories G.D. and W.D. for example. Zoom out with your browser, and you'll see... how will you fit troop numbers there?

Otherwise this looks nice.

Howdy!

Why is the gold bonuworth 6?

I like a jump from Lake terrace to Lake Shore.

Maybe replace one of the red bonus regions with Tan?

Nice start.

I agree with natty_dread. Also, I think the map is bigger than the minimum size for a small img draft. The diemensions for small img should be 630x400 and big img 800x600.

I also agree with natty, but if you right click (windows) on the image, you will see that this map is 800x600, the large version. You can do this with any map. I am working on an update as I type this.

Too many big bonuses, not enough smaller ones.
That's my first impression.

I agree with the bonuses seeming a bit high. I think there should be a bridge between Lake Shore and Laketerrace. Also, technically the bridge to Algiers Point should probably connect to the CBD.

Ok, the first few things I notice....

Colourful map, but at the same time it's boring. There is nothing to it but some bright colours
The minimap needs changing, I can't read the yellow and green bonus numbers, there appears to be something under the number. That will HAVE to be changed
G.D = Garden Sitrict? I assume this is a typo and it should be District?
You have another (island?) on the right hand side of the map. Where does this fit in?

That should be enough for now, see how you get on with the next draft. I'll be watching.

Change the arrows to bridges. It would make it more realistic.

jleonn is wrong: 840x800 large; 630x600 small. You're fine. Nice looking start, a bit plain though. Some texture would be nice.

 If those were the size restrictions I would be pushing ten times as hard for larger maps.
Back on topic though, this reminds me too much of fractured America. If you just find some other graphic for the arrows connecting things across water, then I think it would be less similar.

Working on it. I put them there as an aide as to where the attack routes are that's all. I am also working on some impassables such as interstates, and main roads. I'm thinking of using the highways like you would normally. Get on at one point and get off at another point. This would be limited to 2 - 3 territories away from where you got on. The main roads would be impassable except for where the breaks are. These are some things I'm working on so please be patient as I have this map and one other plus of course RL.

I will get the next update posted as soon as I can.

Yes there was something under the minimap. I fixed it and will be on my next update.

That island is a continuation of that bonus on the right side. Any suggestions as to help make that clearer? I put the territory names in both spots to try and make it clear. G.D. yes that is a typo - fixed for next update.

Here's the new version!

Changes made:

- Added Interstates as impassable
- Added boat attack routes
- Added a couple of bridges
- Changed a couple of the bonuses for clarity
- Changed a couple of bonuses to match up with the interstate
- Merged a few territories for clarity
- Enlarged a few territories for clarity
- Added impassables, attack routes and instructions to the top of the map

Need to do:

- Change a couple of the colors for our color blind friends
- Somehow tie in the inset for New Orleans East bonus to the rest of the bonus
- Add some texture to the bonuses
- Add some more impassables
- Redo Interstate route markers
- Rearrange some 4 way borders
- Get your suggestions and comments

ok, this draft is much better.

One thing, why is there only so much light blue? Does the sea run out? (Assuming it's sea)

Yes that is correct.

Thank you! The light blue is Lake Pontchartrain (top of map), and the light blue ribbon is the Mississippi River.

Looks better, but there's still a few territories with size problems. Try zooming out the map so you'll see how it looks like as the small version, and you'll see what I mean.

The changes are great.

Two things:

I think the Uptown area (lower left red area) might be worth a point or two too much, considering there are no highways in there.

Also, the "D" in Superdome is not capitalized.

I'm not liking the look of the bridges.... Could you use roads or something instead? Looking great!

Good lookin map, but I think Fountainbleau is the more common name for Marleyville. Never heard of it refered to as marleyville. Just small details.

Hello everyone. I'm a local of New Orleans and working with isaiah40 as a New Orleans reference on any name corrections and things of that nature while he does his best to incorporate any changes into the third draft of the map. Keep in mind that this map is difficult to work with given the small amount of space for territory names, places where unit numbers will be shown, etc, which means that not every idea is possible to include in the map's design for CC. Isaiah40 is doing a great job so far so keep the comments and suggestions coming if you have any. If there any other local New Orleanians who feel the need to address a certain "local" issue on the map, please PM me and I'll pass it on to isaiah40 as I work with him. :) So, continue to give isaiah40 your support as he works hard to make this map a reality!

The dark brown bonus at 4.... 2 seems to make more sense. 3 at the very most.

The purple seems too high also. 5?

The lower left red should probably be reduced to 7. May wanna go with a tan to get away from 2 red bonuses also.

The bridges. Can ya come up with suspension style? That could be cool.

Upper attack route. i didn't count terts but you could add a couple ferry boat terts & make a +1 bonus for holding them. Or not. Just an idea to look at.
