This year’s Ladder Reset is totally different and truly tests your skills to start at the top of the Ladder.

The Ladder Reset is quite simple…Round Robin format for all active Ladder members.

The Ladder Reset tournament will be set up automatically by CC. You do not have to do a thing, except accept your invites and play your games. Because of the number of games, a player MUST be a Premium player to participate. Freemiums will automatically be placed at the bottom of the Ladder when the Ladder Reset concludes.

Each week, you will receive a new match consisting of three games as follows:

Your Home game
Your Away game
Random Tie-Breaker

ALL players must submit prior to the start of Round 1 what they want their Home settings to be. These will be used for ALL of your Home games throughout the Ladder Reset tournament. Once submitted, you CANNOT change your settings.

The Random Tie-Breaker game will be Escalating – Chained – Sunny – No Trench – No Poly.

All games will have a 30 round limit.

12 Hour Fog Courtesy rule will be in effect.

If you fail to accept your game invite in time, you will be resent a new invite one time. After that, you will forfeit your game. No exceptions.

You will earn 1 point for each GAME you win.

Every player will have 1 BYE week...you will NOT earn points for a BYE week.

At the end of the tournament, all points will be accumulated and you will be placed on the Ladder based on your points.

If there are any players tied for points at the end of the Ladder Reset tournament, then the following will be used for tie-breakers:

Winner of head to head match
Player with the most 3 – 0 match scores
Player with the most 2 – 1 match scores

There is no need to post your game numbers or report your wins. This will be done automatically.

There will be NO medals awarded during the tournament. All SoC 1v1 Ladder medal streaks will be placed on hold and will carry over to the new Ladder.

Almost right but not quite, Nordic Boy. Yes, the games will be protected from other players joining but only while the invite is current. As soon as the invite expires then any Noob, Boob or Scary can join unless you entered a pw. Then all you need to do if your challengee forfeits is either invite another player or 2, drop the games or give out the pw in some forum post or spam pm and beg anyone to please play with you.

We are getting ready to start the Ladder Reset next week, but there will be some changes coming with the new format....can't say it yet, since we haven't finalized everything.

After a very long and arduous journey into the great unknown and beyond, I can finally say we are back!

The final matches went out earlier this week and I plan on having the Ladder fully functional no later than November 1...earlier, if possible.

A long time ago, on a battlefield far, far away, the members of the SoC 1v1 Ladder became involved in an organized reset of internal rankings among them. Their faithful captain left the Ladder Reset in the capable hands of his logical first officer and took off for Tahiti (it's a magical place), to recharge his batteries, sipping Mai-Tais on the beach, collecting 20%.

The captain decided to make an appearance after suffering from post traumatic Ladder disorder. Realizing the Ladder had been infested by reptiles, he decided to get rid of the motherf*cking snakes stowing away on the Ladder. Once the snake infested Ladder was cleaned up, the chief took inventory of the damage caused.

Some wounds never heal and bleed again at the slightest word. So, things needed to be fixed on the Ladder. The captain wept over the destruction that had taken place, but there's no crying on the Ladder. The captain picked a hell of a day to quit drinking.

When you compete on the ladder as a child, it becomes a part of your identity in a way that no other battle in your whole life does. With that, the captain grabbed his mighty hammer and decided on the following to rebuild the Ladder, so they will come.

I'm sorry the Ladder fell into a box, that got stashed in the attic, and then the house was set on fire. I really needed a break from the Ladder and I had some great people step up to help run the Reset. Shit happens and we got hit with diarrhea of Murphy's Law...and the Ladder (and you) took it right in the face.

I'm back now...batteries recharged...and ready to get this back up and running.

1. All previous Ladder Reset matches are hereby null and void. There were several inconsistencies with the Ladder matches, several people left CC for over 30 days (some came back), mother nature played havoc with matches being scheduled, and many other reasons that I will not go into.

2. The Ladder is being reset in a reverse blind draw. This means that I'll have a bag with everyone's name in it (those listed on the last current Ladder). The first name I draw will take the bottom rung on the Ladder. The second name will be placed above the first person...and so on and so on. The last name pulled will be the current King/Queen of the Ladder. A video link will be posted here for all to view.

3. Rule #19 ( If a challenge is declined or not answered/accepted within seven (7) days, it will be treated as though the challenger won the match and the challenged player will be charged with a “FORFEIT”. is being temporarily amended. The temporary time limit is now 3 days (72 hours). This will only last until December 31, 2018. This will help us quickly weed out players that have left CC.

4. Referral Bonus: Because the Ladder has taken a heavy hit with members leaving CC over the past year, if you refer a player to join the Ladder, you will move up five (5) rungs. The new player has to become active right away.

Disclaimers for the Referral Bonus:

1. You can refer as many players as you wish, but you will only receive the bonus one time.
2. The referred player must play at least one Ladder match before the bonus will be awarded.
3. You cannot take over the #1 spot, but will be moved to #2 and allowed to call DIBS when it becomes available.
4. All referred players must state who referred them.
5. The Referral Bonus will end at 0001 CC Time, on January 1, 2019.

The Ladder becomes active again on December 1, 2018. No challenges or DIBS can be made until then.
