So, I am
green and I have three troops to deploy. I'm planning on deploying all three on N8, then fortifying two from A7 to A6, from A8 to A4, and from E4 to E6. What do you think? Again, I greatly appreciate all the assistance and feedback I've received thus far. ~Amish N.

Sounds like a good plan to me.

Though, don't jump to move your A4 group immediately towards the A1/A2 sweetspot, I like to let a group hang out in the other end of asia because it comes in handy later on in the game.

Interesting, I'll keep that in mind, thanks. When you say it comes in handy, do you mean in terms of mobility (esp. to N. America)?

My turn again. I am
green and I have three troops to deploy. What if I deploy one on N8, one on E6, and one on A5, then attack N7 for the card? Any different opinions?

lets put all 3 on N8 and go to n7 advancing all.

My reasoning is to get you closer to n4 or n5.

My turn. I am
green and I have three troops to deploy. I think I should deploy all on N7, then attack and advance onto N4. Or I could deploy all on A6 (in preparation for moving onto A2), then attack A10 from A4 for the card. What do you think?

It's early let's get some cards. 1E6, 2A4 and A10 for the easy card.

Ok, I have three troops to deploy. I'm thinking deploy three on A4, and attack A8 for the card. Or I could deploy three on N7 (since N4 is growing stronger) and attack E5 from E6 for the card. Or should I spread them out more?

I always like saying this but...this is an interesting game to watch :D and Ill tell you why.
Everyone with the exception of blue is spread all over the board and playing like vets. several of the players are teachers or have gone through cook school. I think everyone with the exception of blue and teal has been a student at one time.

games like these can be very frustrating because it seems like one big block fest and log jam. It boils down to who gets the cash versus who gets two pair when they need a turn in.

With that said Amish you have several options. This is just my opinion and observation. I would put 3 on your 8 man in NA and take the 1 at the SA border bunch back down to the border. leave 4 and move the rest down. This will block folks out in the long run as well and leaves the ones in SA to eat up. I would also move your 5 stack in Europe up towards Greenland border in the next several turns that way you have SA US and Asia covered

Your first thought seems good But I might bring your two groups in the N area together on N7 Hansky being a recent graduate may either head to N5 or with a cashin head some south.

Ok, three troops. The most reasonable move I can see is to deploy two on A6 and one on A4, then attack S1 for the card. Unless you think I should deploy all on A4 and advance to A9 (eventually moving him into N.A.).

the last move I suggested to fort to n7 so you could get closer to N4, You would be able to get your guys to it this turn - It is one of the important territs.

I think I would do the turn as you see it but then fort all to N7.

My bad, wac, I could have sworn that last turn I fortified from N8 to N7, but I guess I mistakenly did the vice versa  . The pitfalls of playing Conquer Club at 4:00 AM emerge.

I have to cash this turn. I'll have 13 troops to deploy. Unfortunately, Sergeant 1st Class Hanksy moved to N4 last round, so what I think I should do is this: Deploy three each on E6, A4 and A6, deploy four on N7, and advance onto N9. Anyone disagree?

So Sergeant 1st Class Hanksy terminated Corporal noddiem last round and has grown strong. I don't have a set, but I think I can take out Sergeant 1st Class alex draper (the weakest player) this turn. I have three to deploy. Here's what I would do: Deploy three on A4, attack A10 no advance; If I have enough troops left over, attack A3 from A4 to weaken it--if he needs help, I bring up A6 to finish off A3. I move N9 up to N3 and attack E1--if he needs help, I bring E6 over to finish off E1. If I take out alex draper, I get his three cards, cash for 30 troops to bolster myself, finish the turn with four cards (more than anyone else) and possibly a four-troop deployment next turn. The only one who can possibly cash cards next round would be the weakest remaining player, Corporal Silent Hysteria, with three cards. Is that solid, or too risky?

that´s a good plan and a calculated risk, i would try it. My first thought was deploying N9, but your plan is fine too. good luck! :)

Yeah, I wasn't thinking far enough ahead. I was thinking fortify instead of sweep. :| The problem was that I didn't advance to E1 after I attacked it like I should have, and I didn't advance to A12 after I attacked it like I should have. If I had done those two things, after my second cash I could have easily taken A11 from A12, O4 from A6, and taken out Africa with E1 and A1. Corporal Silent Hysteria would've been toast, and it would've been game over for Sergeant 1st Class Hanksy. I fortified to set up those positions during reinforcement, and hopefully I blocked Hanksy from taking out Silent Hysteria, so I just have to keep my fingers crossed and hope that Silent doesn't get a cash next round. This was a good educational round for me, though, because it helped me to understand how carefully/strategically I must move when attempting to roll cashes, and how far ahead I must think with each move. Next time I shall try not to be so myopic. That said, that was very exciting--my first double-kill :!:
