Hm, I don't see the need for the islands. And regarding Andorra, indeed it is independent, but for the purposes of this map, we could make it a part of that particular region.

Needless to say I totally disagree with you! :) Why not include the islands that are actually a part of Spain and include Andorra with Catalunya!?

The mountains between Murcia, Albacete, Jaen, and Granada don't block anything. They're pointless.

The mountains actually block one border, Granada and Albacete. Also it makes it look more like a complete mountain range. Also, i will not add the islands. Yes they are part of spain but not part of Iberia. I hope i do not have to say this again. For now I will keep Andorra, but we'll see how other people think about it, I might put a poll on it.

Put a poll on the islands as well then! ;)

It doesn't appear that they would have border otherwise.

The poll has been changed, please vote.

You might want that changed, to also state, if Andorra is included, *How* it should be included (I.E. Independent or apart of one of the regions)

Yes, I wouldn't mind it as an independent state but I had to vote for removing it as it's not part of Catalunya. Once I was told I had a stilted poll when I did something along these lines.

P.S. Do make a poll about the Balearic islands...if they should be included or not!

Hi. I'm from Portugal and I must say that I like this map a lot.
This final draft looks good.

I only have a couple suggestions.

1 - Reduce the width of the mountains by 2 or 3 pixels (would make them occupy less territory space while still separating).
2 - Make the Tagus River (the one near Lisbon) go on to the mountains (add a bridge to connect south and north of Portugal ?)
3 - Change the name of North Portugal (Beirus) to something more proper like "Portugal Norte" or "Trás os Montes". "Beirus" which should be called "Beiras", is only a small section of northern Portugal. :)

Excellent work, I'm looking forward to play this map.

The accent is missing in many names

1 - will do
2 - i dont think this is necesary
3 - Ill change the name to Tràs os Montes

As with the accents, the program im using doesnt like acesnts and i will have to add them on manually later on.

I must agree with these opinion, you dont need mountains in these place.

nice map, looks playable. Two things bother me visually:

1. the texture on the land looks like water, and the texture on the water looks like land.

2. the rivers look like you drew them in with a Sharpie. They would bother me less if they were thinner and perhaps snaked a bit more.

I don't care what the poll says, if you want your rationale for not including the islands, you HAVE to have Andorra.

Besides, unless someone makes a map of just Andorra, the poor little pays is never going to get a better shot on any map than this one.

I think having it apart of the region it's closest to would do it justice. All maps are not going to be perfect geographical or political maps.

Ok, heres the next update:

Ive kept Andorra for now as the poll is about even but the arguments for seem stronger than those against. I've widened the rivers a bit and shrunk the mountains at portugal a bit. Also those mountains near granada do block the Granada/Albacete border, it is hard to see but thats how it is. Also, it makes the mountain range more seem more complete. Also, Beirus was renamed ot Tras os Montes.

Regarding the mountains, have you considered a few variations in size...and perhaps...where the damn peak is? ;)
