                  Final Forge

---The Caribbean Islands Map has reached the ‘Final Forge’ Stage. I've revived this thread from the pits of the Foundry furnace and have examined the contents. Nearly every major concern has been addressed. If there are any other current concerns, please make your voice heard. There will be two days for you to post any objections; if no one has posted any protest after two days the map will be deemed finished with the 'Foundry Brand' of approval and will be submitted for live play. If after two days there is still discussion going on it may continue until said discussion has reached the conclusion that the map has reached its final and polished version.

Post questions and concerns if any.

You got Barbados's shape wrong. Heres a link to a map.

yes, Barbados is not exact. But, when you consider all the other smaller islands, you'll notice when you look at a map of the region, that I have increased the size of many of these islands ten fold.

I think getting all the major larger islands and land masses correct is important. As well as the general shape / flow of the windward and leeward islands as a whole. Getting each individual island exactly like they are in real life isn't important in my opinion. Because, I've only selectively picked a few of the many islands to serve as territories, and none of these islands are the correct size anyway (otherwise we really couldn't see much of the islands).

Edbeard, it seems the XML link is broken. Can you rehost it?

              Quenching

The Final Forge period has concluded for the Caribbean Islands Map. All objections have had their time. The Foundry and I hereby brand this map with the Foundry Brand. Let it be known that this map is now ready for live play (barring any Lack vetoes).

Conquer Club, enjoy!

I don't think I have thanked anyone throughout this process, so now is the perfect time to do it.

Thanks to anyone who opened the thread, those who voted, people that posted indifferently, negatively, positively and especially constructively.

Special thanks goes out to my buddy who was with me from before I posted the awful version where the map originally started and gave me feedback all the way 'till the very end. I look forward to helping you on your map if/when you decide to go through with it.

I can honestly say I'm proud to have my map associated with the other maps that have been quenched today. So a big congrats from me goes out to all of them as well. This was a long and tiring process, but it's possible I may put myself through all this again. Until then, thanks.
