yes thanks qwert...i understand, and i am thinking of applying the word warning to waterloo in the near future, but you only bring it up...no-one else, and this is good comment.

No these is not complaining, like i say previous, that people is very smart, and that something what is look confusing, easy become simple, like in Western Front, people say "how these bombardment work""Who hold Britain he will won game, because nobody can conquer hem" and now, people who play one time ,easy understand concept of these map.
Like i play yours map, first time become very confusing, but next game,i understand better concept of these map. After 10-15 games, people will not loking on any explanation writen on map, because will learn Gameplay of map,its look confused but its quit simple.

Qwert-

I hope you have not taken any offense at my suggestions. Your graphical ability far surpasses mine, that's why you haven't seen me creating any maps for CC. My only intention was to let you know that I was among those who were confused by the call-out sections of your maps. To me they weren't as obvious as they were to you.

If you are comfortable that the vast majority of people will not be confused by the current map configuration, then by all means, continue with the map as it stands. As I understand it, the Foundry is a place for map makers to post their maps and ask for questions, comments and suggestions to make it better. It is then up to the cartographer to implement the suggestions, or provide a solid argument why the change shouldn't be made. I offered my suggestion, you indicated you didn't like it. I'm happy to drop it at this point, I hope you are too.

No hard feelings - you're very talented, and have contributed quite a number of impressive maps. My hope is that you continue to do so.

Qwerts lone check tour inboxes. This bickering has got to stop ok?

As for the boarders, pixely border are qwerts style. Since they seem pretty consistantly done I could live with them. But i would personally rather see then softer.
What do you know about map making, bitch?

Dim has a scrap paper map. Are you trying to reproduce something similar to that?

This map looks good except I am unclear about a few things.

Where are the cohors beside rome? Because it seems rome already gets a +3 bonus but 3 cohors is also +2.

Do you really get +2 for each town? I think +2 for a single territory is a bit much, it devaluates all the other bonuses.

Also i have no idea where the Narbonenesis inset is suppose to represent.

changes needed to two names: mauretania CAESARENSIS is, i think, supposed to be mauretania CAESARIENSIS, while we have PONTVS evxinvs but bithynia et PONTUS.

http://www.roman-empire.net/maps/empire ... a-tin.html

is it possible to make the unplayable areas a slightly different colour? it's difficult to see if hibernia, for example, is unplayable (except it doesn't have an army circle).

ian. :)

Iancanton, you are right abouth Mauretania,i will change these.
Well i can not change nonplayabile colours, but i can try to put to be little darken then playabile part of map.

Like i wrote before, all nonplayabile names is have these change (V-U).
Sea is non playabile name, and Bithynia et Pontus is Gameplay name.

First of all, I will check in weekly to see how things are going. Just because I don't post for a few days doesn't mean you can't keep working on it - I don't have all the answers, I just ask a lot of questions. :)

Second, it is very difficult to comment on gameplay when I don't know what the gameplay is. I said I would check in on the map after you've provided any and all gameplay info in the first post, and you still haven't updated the starting neutral/start position information which is pretty central to understanding how this map works.

But since the squeaky wheel gets the grease, here are my thoughts:

ā€¢ Taurica: will be problematic during gameplay. The territory name is outside of the territory, which could easily be fixed by taking liberties with the border and extending it out into the dead area. And with the army circle in the sea it gives the impression that it is a water territory, which you would expect could be attacked by the ships in the black sea.

ā€¢ Ships: every ship is a dead end, which seems a it odd, but it will work. Any thought of making some of them able to attack each other? In the Black Sea, for example? And +4 seems very high for only holding three ships - with seven on the map it would be very easy to start the game with three. Oh, wait, they start neutral, right? I think I read this at some point, but since I can't remember everything I've read about every thread in the foundry I'm not sure. Please confirm this by adding the information to the initial post.

ā€¢ Roma and Gaetulia: somethig still needs to be done to make it obvious that they are a part of the play, and not just part of the legend. Arrow? Something magnifying glass style? And the wall that I'd suggested around Roma would work better around the territories that can not attack out, but you have it only on the one territory that actually CAN attack out.

ā€¢ Towns: can you clarify "Each Town Bonus"? My sense is that if you hold Armenia, you get a +2 bonus because it has a town in it, right? This is very generous, unless those are start positions. And I assume it is not auto-deployed.

First of all,it will be nice from you to come in Ardennes Offensive topic,so we can continue talk, about background and gameplay, because these map is much longer in production then Imperium Romanum.

Now lets se.
Taurica-I will move Circle to take land more.

Ships-Yes all ships start neutral,so it will not be easy to take three ships for bonuses.

Roma Box-well like i explane to Cairnswk and he understand, that you now have more complicated maps quenched, and that people after two three game will understand that Roma box is for Roma town, and that Alpes box is for these three alpes provinces, and i must say that its quit clear.
Arrow, well i can put arrow from Italy to praetorian I.
Town Wall-Now i must to clear you why i put wall there,Historical Fact;Roma town whas defend 3 praetorian Cohorts, and he whas in town, not out town.

Town Bonuses-well i think that these can be auto deploy, because what is a point to have town who dont give you every turn armies.

Gameplay options.
1.Starting Terittories Towns-all others terittories neutral.
2.All terittories who have some bonuses neutral, and no bonus terittories for players.
