MarVal- I don't know how you dug up this thread, but as you may notice, the last post in it was 7 months ago. I've been on here for a while and I have never seen thegrimsleeper post so I doubt he'll be able to actively work on your suggestions. It's always possible for someone else to update the map if theres a real problem with it, but I believe most players like Europe the way it is and I doubt they'll be in favor of changes after such a long time.

I think the colour of mediterranea in the key is completely wrong to the actual continent. It needs to be fixed. Also, I think some of the continent colours are too similar to the army colours. And too many blue & green continents. You could even make all the text colours the same, Belgium & Austria cross over continent colours making it confusing.

Geographical Oddities in the Europe Map

I apologize if this is a repeat thread, but it's driving me completely crazy.

EDIT: But what about those other oddities? The Ukraine is technically part of the USSR (making it more Russian than German) and why is the central section called Germany anyhow? Shouldn't it be something like "Central Europe?"

I mean, Poland isn't part of Germany, I think WWII established that pretty well...

Theres a reason for this, its the WESTERN part of Russia. Its on the east side of the map, but it still is western russia.

Funny, that is one of the things that are kind of correct. Take a look at a map and you'll see that the part that is there is in the west of Russia. The eastern part of Russia is just not on this map.

The Europe map is screwed geographically in general, since when was africa and Middle East ever part of Europe, and since when was croatia the only country in the balkans (wonder y the serbs neva complained about it, like the croatians were doing with the former yougoslavia map.)

by what,me worry?
I just recently finished a game and Meno pointed out that he couldnt attack Italy from albania which i have known from experience but the first time i actually looked at it, it almost seems like they are connected by land or a line. any thoughts as to if its just a mistake or was there a connection left out?

I just wanted to say a thing about the euorope map. 1.Scandinavia is Finland,
Sveden, Norway, ICELAND AND DENMARK. Not Estonia and Saint Petersburg.
2. Where Estonia is, should be Estonia AND Latvia.
