Totally against this.
People like me would mock the Cooks' questions.

SoC is run by CC and is therefore a public good (funded by all the premium memberships that KH pays for).
PL is run by me and is therefore a private good.

whats they good here you are really shooting for Yoshi ... freedom of Info's a principle but who does it help here? if its to help newbies learn who aren't in SoC then how bout a read only but cant post option , or copy some of the best threads as i was suggesting in suggestion thread above (
viewtopic.php?f=4&t=226080 )and alerting brand new cc visitors to their existence

That sounds reasonable. I could deal with read-only option.

Well, I'm going to assume that the whole point of the private forums is so that the players can ask for help without them being on display. I was in the SoC at one point myself. By the time I actually got added to a training group (took several weeks), I was getting outside advice from a friend, I'm a fast learner, and went through the whole process quite quickly. The thing is, the private forums give new players a space to ask questions and no question is too stupid. Imagine giving everyone access. Not everyone is as nice as the folks helping out in the SoC. We need new players to stick around, not chase them off.
There's nothing to see there for us to be honest. The most helpful threads are already public. Each player posts up a thread for the game they are in. They post suggestions for what they think they should do, and then an experienced player gives them advice based on that, telling them where they got it right, or wrong.
