Since the last newsletter, the Conquer Club Clan scene hit a significant milestone... the
400th Clan War was completed! Congratulations to Agents of Chaos on defeating Brethren of the Fat Mermaid in the 400th completed war. It's a milestone that represents the strength of the Clan Community and the effort of many volunteers, and is quite a reason to celebrate!
I'm proud to welcome IA star
Swifte to our team as a dedicated CL4 reporter. I usually have to arm-wrestle people in here to write articles, and they don't always work out so great; but he actually
volunteered for the job Below is Swifte's first CL4 update, and you will soon see that he has been very thorough!
Qwert has also been considerate enough to show us a drafting of the rules for his vision of the Clan League, which may yet be an independent event or perhaps the official Clan League 5 of the future.
Consider commenting in

In other news, the second round of the CL4 knockout tournaments begins this week. For those of you that are in them, best of luck!
Leehar Clan Executive CL4: By The Numbers by Swifte (IA) show: CL4 By the Numbers
Believe it or not, Phase 2 of CL4 is now over 90% complete! With that in mind, the folks in Empire did some interesting comparisons of Phase 1 win percentages to Phase 2 win percentages for the clans that made it in to Division 1. Being a numbers man , I couldn't very well let the fun stop there! So, I have prepared three tables for your enjoyment. The first table is the games won/lost and win percentages for round 1 by Division. Keep in mind that due to the CL4 scoring system, which rewards the results of individual battles and not overall win %, these results don't necessarily indicate the order in which teams were placed or how they advanced to Phase 2. For example, KORT had a higher win percentage overall in Phase 1 than IA, but since IA won the head-to-head match-up they were able to score more league points. All that said, win percentages are still fun to look at - so here we go:Click image to enlarge. In this second table, you can see the win percentages within Divisions of Phase 2. In Phase 1, the largest win % in round 1 was 78% (KORT) while the lowest was 23%. Now in Phase 2, the largest win % has dropped to 68% (with only 4 clans above 60%), and the lowest has increased to 29%, and the next lowest being 36%. I think this is a positive reflection on the effectiveness of Phase 1 in creating competitive groupings for Phase 2. Taking Division 1 for example, while each of those clans were above 60% in Phase 1, in Phase 2 it will come down to a handful of games deciding the last teams that will move on, with the last advancing team likely to have around a 50% win rate. Click image to enlarge. Finally, I've combined the reported results thus far between the two phases to get an overall win percentage. I have included all clans, what Division they were in for Phase 1 and 2, and their overall win percentage. Several of the Division 1 teams remain atop this leader board, but others like WAR and 1RFG have also risen thanks to strong performances in their Phase 2 groups. Click image to enlarge. Best of luck to those working on wrapping up the last 10% of their respective Phase 2 matches, and especially to those moving on to Phase 3. Perhaps by next edition will will have a clear picture of who is moving on. For now, use the links below to follow along with the remaining Phase 2 action!
Qwert's Clan League by Qwert (Myth) show
Competition format The Premier and First League competition format follows the usual double round-robin format. During the course of a season, each clan plays every other clan twice, once at home and once away, for a total of 26 games. Clans receive two points for a win, one point for a draw, and no points for a loss. Clans are ranked by total points, with the highest-ranked Clan at the end of the season crowned champion. The Qualification Tournament competition format follows the usual knockout tournament in a two-legged format, with pairings for each round made in advance. The first draw will be random. The team who its listed in first position in bracket will be home team.In first leg all game are played in one clan home games, and in second leg all games are played in opponent home games. Tiebreak game are included in second leg games. Winner of Final are Champion of Qualification tournament. The Clan Leagues are divide in 3 lvl 1.Premier League [level 1,14 clans] bottom 3 clans are relegated to First League 2.First League [level 2,14 clans] First 3 are promoted to Premier League, bottom 3 are relegated to Qualification Tournament 3.Qualification Tournament [level 3, all clans who are not ranked in first 28 clans] Winner,Runner up and Winner for 3rd place are promoted to First League. promotion: premier league/league 1: 3 teams from premier league will drop to league 1, and top 3 teams from league 1 will advance to premier league. if one team decide not to participate in premier league before season start, their place will fill 4th team from league 1. if two or more clans decide not to participate, their places will be filled with equal number of best teams from league 1. league 1/Qualification Tournament: 3 teams from league 1 will drop to Qualification Tournament, and their places will be filled with finalists and winner of match for 3rd place from league 2. if one or more teams from league 1 decide not to participate, empty places in league 1 will be filled with best teams from Qualification Tournament (according to finished positions) for example: if 1 clan from premier league and 2 clans from league 1 decide not to participate, premier league will then have all the clans that stayed in premier league plus 4 best teams from league 1. league 1 will then have all the clans stayed in league 1, plus 3 teams who dropped from premier league, plus 3 best teams from Qualification Tournament, plus 4th best clan from Qualification Tournament to fill a place for 4th clan advance to premier league, plus 5th and 6th clan in Qualification Tournament to fill the places from clans that dropped out from league 1.TIEBREAKERS If points are equal between two or more Clans, the rules are: 1.tiebreakers between two clan are applied in the following order: a)Game difference for the entire season b)Head-to-head results. 2.If the tie is between more than two clans, then the tie is broken, using the games the clans have played against each other: a) head-to-head points b) head-to-head game difference c) head-to-head game scored 3.If the tie is still not broken, it will be resolved with a tie-break match[TBD]
Entrance rule 1.For Premier and First League,Participants must have completed at least one 40+ challenge and adhere to the 1 competitive clan rule. 2.For qualification Tournament ,Participants must to adhere to the 1 competitive clan rule. 3.All clans need to have minimum 10 registered players,to be eligible for competition. According to Algorithm ranking system first 14 ranked clans will get invitation to be member of Premier League. Next 14 ranked clans will get invitation to be member of First League. All clans ranked below 28 position, and all new clans, will get invitation to play in Qualification Tournament. Players can only play for 1 clan through the entire League season. If a player changes clans mid-season, he cannot play for the second clan, although he may still be able to qualify for a medal with the original clan. A player that was not with another participating clans that joins a clan mid stream may play but might or might not qualify for medals. (use previous official CL results to decide position in Premier and First league, depend only if this League become official CL event)
Game creation instructions Clans will post in main clan forum Clan Name, First Contact, and Second Contact under the main post made by League Director. The designated first and second contacts can be changed at any time by a clan leader. Clans must post a preliminary list of 10 participating players. The preliminary list can be changed at any time by a First Contact sending a PM to their Division Director. Clans will be placed into Divisions once registration is closed determined by rank (explained above) The primary contacts are asked to PM to their Division Directors the players, maps and settings for their home games in advance of each round (by Sunday no later than midnight CC time). If the deadline is not met then the Division Director will create Random games (Esc, Chained, Sunny) and will randomly invite players from the clan's preliminary player list (provided at the start of the season). Once details are sent to the Division Director there will be no changes allowed. [The opposition 1st contact no longer needs to be sent this list by PM] The same list of home game maps, settings and players must be posted, by the home clan first contact, in the division thread (for the benefit of the opposing 1st contact) no later than Monday night midnight CC time. Failure to make this post will result in the Division Director randomly selecting two of the offending clan's away games in that round, and randomly assigning players to these two games from the clan's provisional list of players (the other away games will be assigned players as per the First Contact's list). The primary contacts are also asked to PM to their Division Director their players for away games according to the weekly schedule. If the deadline is not met the Division Director will randomly invite players from the clan's preliminary player list (provided at the start of the season). Once details are sent to the Division Director there will be no changes allowed. [The opposition 1st contact no longer needs to be sent this list by PM] If invites from the Division Director are not accepted (a second invite will be sent), then the Division Director will send invites to random members of the clan failing to join on time. If these invites are not accepted (first invite to new player) then the offending clan will not be able to win the game in question for league purposes (assuming the random replacement player joins from his/her second invite). If they do win, then the game will be declared a draw. If both clans failed to accept third invites then the game will deemed to be a draw/tie. If one clan fails to accept a fourth invite (random replacement player failing to join from his/her second invite) then the game in question will be awarded to the opposing clan. In these circumstances, if games are still played, they may still count towards other statistics, such as ranking systems. Players no longer members of a clan should not appear on the clan's home or away lists, or their list of 10 provisional players (an update can be sent to the League Directors). If such a player appears on a home or away list or is randomly selected as a replacement player by the Division Director, then this will count as a missed invite, with the Division Director then randomly inviting an eligible player from the potential player list.
Breaking rules penalties (under construction) 1.if clan use same map more then once 2. if one player plays more then its allowed (week-round) first violation-game will be remade second violation-game will be count like loss If a player joins more games per round than they are allowed or if a clan breaks the single use of each map rule, then they are in violation of the rules. Any rule violation needs to be brought to the Tournament Organizer's attention between the time the game settings are submitted in this thread and when the game starts. The first rule violation brought to the Tournament Organizer's attention will be remade with a warning via PM to the clan leader. If another rule violation happens, the game will not be made and will be awarded as a win for the opposition. Once a game starts, any violations will be ignored and the game will be played out and count.
