Ok, fine. That Ahunda guy is exceptionally rude. Sometimes I just want to smack the bastard right in the mouth.

Oh...wait...did you mean about the Dragoons?

(joking)

lol, masterF.

Ahunda, thanks for the response. This one really is interesting to me. I have a top 10 clans list coming out next week in the paper, and I have IA above dragoons. It would certainly be interesting if dragoons can win this. :D

Actually this is one reason Id like the CLA to be included in the ladder as it shows your clans consistent performance over a longer period of time and over multiple clans

This challenge has become something I have a hard time taking seriously at all - with all the disorganization on the side of the goons what should have been fun has turned into a laborious tedious process.
Its dragged on for so long due to their lack of organization that the outcome has become hum ho to me

So maybe its me MF might wanna smack in the mouth and George there is your trash talk

Sad to see one of CC's oldest clans come to such a poor state :(

For the record, I was joking and don't wish to smack any clan mates. However, in the future, I'm going to start showing how strong I keep my pimp hand if people start taking me seriously.

ahunda wrote:I can only speak for our side: Many of our members are not very active in the forums & stick to playing their games. Seeing all the bickering & the festival of ego-trips in the Conquerors Cup thread, people arguing over their rank on some ladder and how great & under-rated they are, I am actually considering this a good thing. Maybe we are simply not interested in this kind of trash-talk ...

That being said, this challenge here has probably been hurt by the organisational mess surrounding it. We were supposed to be done last year, but the Dragoons were late in sending & joining games in almost every single set. Our last home set was supposed to start a week ago, and the Dragoons have just started to join these games last night. Because we had to re-schedule the entire challenge, what should have been a small, tight & tense 2 months battle, is now going into its 5th month. I guess, this has somewhat dampened the enthusiasm in the whole thing.

As for the infrequent up-dates: We kind of gave up on that, when lovo didn“t even respond to our PMs anymore, when we asked, if he could up-date the results. So let me do it for him:

Assassins win Game 6259061, Dragoons win Game 6290597 & Game 6256332.

Current score, after finished games: Assassins 13 - Dragoons 14

Game 6259831 is another win for the Dragoons. 3 Quads in the balance, and 11 more games just starting.

I am going to stick with my prediction of 14-17 after the Dragoons 2nd home set, and I really hope, we can stage another come-back in our home games ... O:)

lets not over-exaggerate the impact of our slacking, lv went awol for 1 week, and i jumped in, but at you guys insistence we had to wait practically 2 months to start the games, i got different stories from everyone on your end i talked to, and when ahunda and i had come to an agreeable decision it was over-ruled by your clan in favor of a long pause.

we are certainly the ones who dropped the ball, but you are insinuating that the the delay was all us, and it just plain wasn't.

that being said, i also like the no trash talking, neither of us have anything to prove. both clans are full of respectable players flexing their world domination muscles on the battle-field. nuff said. the results will speak for themselves im sure. :-) im betting its gonna be within 2 games...

yer i dropped the ball..i also got a new job that became more important than an online variant of risk.
hence you will find in that week I had very little activity across the board...
That being said who cares move on...We shall see who comes out on top

I dont think you can use the excuse oh this challenge has been too long we have lost interest hence we have now lost either.
Its a game...you show equal amount of interest all the time and wont play worse or better because of it...

Oh come on

Seriously this challenge was to be done before the Christmas holidays. You goons went MIA for quite a while and only by chance did I find another contact via bruce.
hwhrhett you were helpful to start then sort of dropped out as well then bruce pointed me to Raizor. Seriously why did we have to chase you guys down to get this done. An agreement was made and it was up to you guys to let us know if there was a problem not just fall of the face of the map and have us chasing around to find someone to take care of things. It was way more than 2 weeks.
We asked to wait to finish as this dragged son so long it was running into the holiday season as people do have lives over the holidays and at that point things were so screwed up we thought maybe you would have it together after a bit
but no you were late in sending the next set anyway and then late in joining - we still have games as of today that arent filled and are close to expiring
You also did this to us in the CLA and have done it a few times there with other clans.
I have no idea whats going on with you guys but as one of the oldest clans on CC I hope you get it together

and saying we have lost interest isnt an excuse of any kind lovo -its just dragged on for so long its hard to really be interested in it one way or another. We have other more organized things going on
we are ready to move on so lets just wrap this up win or lose I dont care anymore I just know that you guys need to get it together

It's true! Using my powers of occlumency, I have probed the inner caverns of LV's mind. His new job is trawling through every page of the internet, deleting any reference to "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named" and replacing it with "Lord Voldemort." Wake up, people! The Dark Lord is back and it spells disaster for the wizarding world!

lord voldemort wrote:I dont think you can use the excuse oh this challenge has been too long we have lost interest hence we have now lost either. Its a game...you show equal amount of interest all the time and wont play worse or better because of it...

To be honest, before I joined IA, this war had me excited. There were several players in each clan that I considered to be "buddies," so I was really interested to see who would come out on top. Then it just kinda died... I'm not trying to assign blame here, Mr. Riddle, just saying that the interest has diminished, and I'm even a part of these games now.

I think that Loki's irritation is because of the fact that as clan leader, it's her job to keep IA "hot." Unless IA's name immediately pops into the forefront of players' minds when they think of a clan they wouldn't want to face, I imagine that Loki feels she isn't doing her job and is letting down her clan. Wow, that was pretty insightful and sensitive. Ladies, maybe read this paragraph twice.

I would think that after losing FP and NP, the Dragoons could stand to benefit from some hype as well. So maybe both clans could try to put some effort into livening this war up a bit? Perhaps George was right and as much as I hate talking trash, we could give it a shot? I'll start.

Hey, LV, I heard that you only have 6 horcruxes and not 7. Oooooooh, so scary.

(See what I did here? I opened the door to you making fun of my Harry Potter knowledge and calling me a loser.)

Well. I think, we can agree, that this challenge did not quite go as planned. And obviously there has been some frustration on our side about it, that has now surfaced.

Now, that it has been aired, I suggest to cool it & conclude the challenge in the friendly atmosphere, that we had in the games so far. I“m not interested in creating any bad blood between us here.

We had some of the usual crap luck dice fests, but also some pretty intense & well played games in this challenge. The result is close, and that should keep us all interested enough.

for the record loki, i didnt drop off, i spoke with you, you sent me to ahunda, me and ahunda worked something out, it was then nixed to start over at the beginning of the year. was i supposed to keep in contact while on hiatus?? i mean i remember this right correct ahunda? this confuses me. when did i drop off? lv disappeared, a week later i jumped in, a week after that you guys decided to push it on to the new year. none of this bothers me at all, but stop insinuating that the reason there was a 2 month gap was because we disappeared for 2 months. thats not what happened..

but anyway, ive said my bet, so its done. so yes, let us get on with the games!

I've been watching this feud for the last few days and I'm disappointed. Knowing the Dragoons as well as I do, there was nothing intentional done to thwart the timing of the games and they have said they were in contact with IA and the decision was to wait until after the holidays, which is understandable. The goal was to have them done by Christmas, which is nice, but obviously didn't happen. To come back and bellyache about losing ambition for the challenge of two of the most talented and highly ranked clans on CC is, sorry, bush league. Most of your clan plays No Spoils games anyway, so 'time' shouldn't even be a factor in this. There are several respectful players in IA and to drag this challenge down like this is uncharacteristic ... now play the friggin games! :)

The point FP was that we had agreed to a timely challenge

Unfortunately lovo just stopped mid way with all communication and left us scrambling to find who would take over his post. Should it have been up to us to have to figure that out or should someone have come to us from the goons - surely whoever the leader is now should have known there was a clan war going on and been aware of the terms and set out to see why nothing was moving along.
They were not in touch with us til after we had to chase them down - that in a nutshell is the point and that is why the challenge dragged on

Sorry guys, I seem to have dropped my spark in your powder keg. Anyway, I was just interested in this because both clans are good and this would make a good story. Now I have some quotes to go along with the story  No seriously, you are all good people, I hope you guys enjoy the remainder of your challenge. :D

I don't see any reason to spill more ink on this topic. All what had to be said is said. We were slacking, we had some problems, and right now the last batch of games is udnerway.

For me we can now complete this challenge in good fashion, with some tight games. I hope neither side has any hard feelings. I can speak for myself and say that I still see you guys as a top clan, and i need to applaud ahunda for taking this very well. We started to make a mess of the challenge due to external factors, but he took it well and i hope we can finish in the same fashion.

We'll have to prove our organisational skills again in the next challenge. You can bet this was just a one off, and once again i have to apologize for that.

Now, lets clash those swords!

Well a next update would be nice I think a few more games finished. Right now I would say IA is going ahead but it's still very close!! But you guys have some games that will probably be a win in the next days :). But there are a lot of games yet undecided and we will kick some serious bone in it :p.
Anyways I enjoyed the challenge so far, there has been a hassle but I think everyone is good now :)
Damn I so want to win so whorewhay's prediction will be a false one!

Thanks. Tbh I'm playing mostly team games myself now. I joined a clan too, and I've been writing about clan stuff in the cc paper for the last couple of months. In fact my story on top 10 clans should come out today or tomorrow (issue 25). :D There is a group though for people who play standard sequential escalating games, its called SSSCE. I don't know if your in yet, if you apply you will have my vote :D

Well we should team up somtimes then :). Which clan might that be ? I know for sure you're the star there although you would have been an asset for the goons!! I hope you will consider the fact that we are the number 1 clan at the moment ;). Anyways I will look into the SSSCE thingy :). Thx for the advice.
