Question: do we need to use exactly those 10 players from the list in all tourney games or will the list be used only for default game creation in case the clan misses the deadline for creating games for the round? So can we use more than 10 players? (I suppose the answer is yes, but better to check..)

the list is only there for emergency. you can use any member of you clan, regardless of the list. the list will be used only
as a last measure, to avoid disqualifying a clan

Edit: Also contrary to public perception, I believe overall this has been a points gain for us. At least it was last season.
