Promotion & Relegation: CL7 saw the introduction of the promotion/relegation format, with the 4 highest ranked clans of the Second Division being promoted to the Premier Division and the 4 lowest ranked clans of the Premier Division being relegated to the Second Division. We had 23 clans sign-up for CL8. This gives us the 2 divisions for CL8. The 3 highest ranked clans of the Second Division will be promoted to the Premier Division and the 3 lowest ranked clans of the Premier Division will be relegated to the Second Division. Not all Premier Division clans signed up, so 2 more clans were moved to the Premier Division to keep it at 12 clans. The Second Division now has 11 clans. The divisions are posted below, see Divisions. Basic Format: Clans play each other within their divisions to determine division winners and which clans get promoted or relegated. Both divisions play a double round robin, i.e., each clan plays each other twice in the same round, with 8 home and 8 away games. Each set of 8 games is considered a match. Per match, points will be awarded as follows:Win: 2 Points Draw: 1 Point Loss: 0 Points The clan with the most points in each division will be the winner of that division.Tie-Breaker Rules: If 2 or more clans end up with same amount of points their placement will be based on (in order): Game Difference Difference in head-to-head results Difference in head-to-head game wins Difference in head-to-head away game wins (if still more than 2 clans tie) Difference in total away wins Difference in total away game wins In the unlikely event 2 clans still end up tied, they will play another round with home and away games to determine their placement.Note: Games won by forfeit do not count as game wins for the tie-breaker rules.

Creating, Posting & Filling Games show: Creating, Posting and Filling Games
We will have rounds starting every 2 weeks, on a Sunday (see schedule). The clan contacts are responsible for creating their clan’s (home) games, inviting their players and ensure the games are filled correctly and in a timely manner. Merely inviting players does not mean that the game is filled! At the start of every round the home clan contacts have to: Create the home games Post the home games (game numbers only) in the appropriate thread Invite the home players and make sure the games get filled Creating and posting the games should preferably be done on the same Sunday the round starts. However, the deadline for doing all of the above is the Thursday after the start of the round, at 18:00 hrs. CC Time. That means there are 5 full days to get this done. After Thursday, 18:00 hrs. CC Time, the away clan contacts have 5 more days to: Invite the away players and make sure the away games get filled This makes the absolute deadline for joining all games the second Tuesday after the start of the round, at 18:00 hrs. CC Time. ----IMPORTANT: Communication is key! Clan contacts should contact the TOs if they have a problem meeting a deadline and/or if they know they are going to be absent for a certain period of time. We may be able to help to avoid missing a deadline by granting an extension or privileges to the second clan contact, for example. Other clan members should warn their clan contacts if they see a deadline may be missed. If the clan contacts are unresponsive, clan members should contact the TOs. Notes: To avoid ongoing games from having to be remade it is strongly recommended that the away clan contacts check the home games for errors before inviting their players. It is optional to send a PM to the opposing clan contacts with the games and/or assigned players.

Rules & Infractions show: Rules and Infractions
Rules: All the CC and Clan rules will be in effect, unless stated otherwise in this post. There will be no 12 hour Fog of War rule in effect. Clans can decide between them if they want to apply it. There will be no enforcement by the TOs or CDs. Game abuse like purposely running out of time or throwing a game is prohibited. Infractions relating to deadlines and the use of maps, settings and players: These kind of infractions will be strictly dealt with as follows:1st Infraction: The offending clan will receive a warning. 2nd Infraction: The offending clan will receive a final warning. 3rd Infraction: The game(s) in question will be forfeited and count as a win for the opponent. 4th Infraction: Same as 3rd infraction. The offending clan will also receive a 1 pt deduction from their overall points total. 5th Infraction: Same as 3rd infraction. The offending clan will also receive a 2 pt deduction from their overall points total. 6th infraction: The clan will face harsher measures, including possible disqualification. Infractions relating to deadlines: When a warning has been issued for missing a deadline, the next deadline will be 24 hours after the warning was issued. If that next deadline is missed, it will count as a new infraction. Infractions relating to the use of maps, settings and players: Any game that breaks the rules with regards to use of maps, settings and players will have to be remade, even if it’s already ongoing. This does not apply once round 2 of the game has started. Any game that does not follow the rules of the use of maps, settings and players can be remade or rectified until it is registered in the database. Once it is registered in the database it will be regarded as an infraction. Any game that is remade after being registered in the database, and before round 2 of the game starts, has to be posted in the appropriate thread in a new post. That post also has to state which game it replaces. If a player joined more than 3 games per match (set of 8 home or away games), the opposing clan may choose which game or games with said player has or have to be remade. Other Infractions, Offenses, Issues: Consequences for infractions that do not have a specific penalty assigned, and any other offenses and issues, will be determined on a case by case basis, depending on the severity, repetitiveness, and possible effects on the results of this tournament. The consequences can vary from, but are not limited to, a warning to the remaking of a game, forfeits or point deductions, removal of privileges or clan contacts, expulsion of a player, or disqualification of a clan.. . . Note:All infractions and penalties will be posted in the corresponding division threads. Extensions of deadlines: A clan can request an extension of a deadline any time before the deadline has passed. The request must be send by PM to Lindax. Extensions are 24 hours by default. A subsequent extension can be requested, as well as an extension longer than 24 hours. Default 24 hour extensions will always be granted, within reason (you cannot request one for every single deadline). Other extensions will be dealt with on a case by case basis. . . . Note:All extensions granted will be posted in the corresponding division threads. Privileges: Clans can request privileges for the first clan contact only, or for both contacts, upon sign-up or any other stage of the tournament. Privileges come with responsibilities: See: Clan Challenge Privileges If 2 sets of games are created and posted, the set posted first will count as the official set of games. Any issues arising from both clan contacts having privileges, such as creating, posting, filling 2 sets of games, missing deadlines because of a misunderstanding between clan contacts, etc., falls under the responsibility of the clans. Any problem arising from both contacts having privileges will result In the immediate removal of the privileges of the second contact. . . . Note:A list of clan contacts with privileges will be posted in the corresponding division threads. Clans leaving CL8: If a clan leaves CL8 for whatever reason(s) all results involving this clan will be annulled. The clan will not be eligible to enter CL9.
General Comments show: General Comments
Comments: Clans are encouraged to self-police and solve minor issues between themselves. However, if you feel that your opponent has broken a rule, please report this by PM to Lindax . For any issues and/or questions with regards to the clan database, please contact Keefie , with a copy to Lindax . The TOs will do their best to keep on top of things, send general reminders, check for inconsistencies, etc. However, the ultimate responsibility for following the rules rests with the clan contacts. Lindax, the Clan Tournament Director, is ultimately responsible for running CL8. If you disagree with a ruling by anybody else in this tournament, please contact Lindax . If you disagree with a ruling by Lindax, please contact IcePack , the Clan Department Head. Disclaimer: The format and the rules are subject to change if deemed appropriate by the TO and/or the CD Team.

IP might want to reread it. If I understand what he is asking it doesn't say anything about who will be promotion/relegation at the end of CL8. I think is what he is looking for.

This sentence was in the sign-up thread:
The promotion/relegation format at the end of CL8 will be decided when we know exactly how many clans signed up. Most likely the number of clans promoted/relegated will be 2 or 3.
I forgot to copy this sentence and post the amount of clans being promoted relegated at the end of CL8:
We had 23 clans sign-up for CL8. This gives us the 2 divisions for CL8. The 3 highest ranked clans of the Second Division will be promoted to the Premier Division and the 3 lowest ranked clans of the Premier Division will be relegated to the Second Division.
This now appears under the "CL8 Format" spoiler in the OP.
Sorry about that,
Lx

I was searching for tie breaker rules both in this thread and in the Premier League thread but did not found any record. Therefore I am still wondering which are tie breaker rules in case two or more clans end with the same number of points? I see in the Random League 7 it is Head to Head score followed by total GD difference, but wondering if the same is in CL8?

From the OP, under "Format":
Tie-Breaker Rules:
If 2 or more clans end up with same amount of points their placement will be based on (in order):
Game Difference Difference in head-to-head results Difference in head-to-head game wins Difference in head-to-head away game wins (if still more than 2 clans tie) Difference in total away wins Difference in total away game wins Lx

You should have about the 3rd highest GD after four rounds Josko, probably somewhere between 10-14 I would guess.
