I think flame wars served a purpose. People could get out their frustrations. Now it will likely spill over into the GD forum. Also, flame wars didn't really hurt. A lot of the time people didn't know that they were being flamed unless they went into there, so who cares what was written in there. Those who did go in knew that they were going to hear stuff that would be offensive, so it gave people a choice of whether they wanted to hear negative comments about themselves and others or not. It probably should have stayed. Having said that, perhaps if you provided us with some of the reasons that it was taken out then we could better understand the decision.

Welp, if you really want to shout at random people, there is always the Tavernside Fire clan. It exists sole-y for flaming.

FLAME WARS was taken out, due to the sensitivities of the administrators of C.C.

You'd think that this site has been taken over by people who'd rather play with Barbie Dolls.

Back from my 2nd banning by the Thought Police.

Love the new and improved "zero tolerance" approach to the flamers!

Thanks, CC, and keep up the good work!

My appreciation for the CC administrators' decision to keep you flamers under control is just a normal, natural, human expression of good-will. I'm not trying to get anything by expressing it, and there's no need to taint it with the stool-based designation that your mind apparently carries with it.

Can I have my posts back from flamewars please - I tried really hard and some of them were very good and now I've lost them - if I'd been told I could have saved my witty posts so I could record them onto tape and play them as I drift off to sleep every night. Now what will I do? if only I'd been given the courtesy of some notice...

Also, can we get rid of Much Ado About Nothing please. There's a debate in there about religion and creationism that's very upsetting to an animist like me, and my children may stumble across it by accident.

I'm not questioning your demeanor towards these flamers, it's undoubtedly very positive and with some hope we can rid this game of flamers. Yet, expressing your stance over-and-over again brings an air of desperation to your messages to get on the good side of our adminstrators.

Kinda has a point about the OT forum. How does that fit in to the future of CC?

Since the poll has ended, I'm locking this thread up. There have already been enough flames and reported posts for one thread.
