Country Bonuses

Postby kevinc on Tue May 09, 2006 7:37 am

Hi all,

Quick question.

In some games I've seen people get country bonuses for specific cards you're holding.

I don't see anything about this in the rules. How does it work exactly?

Thanks

Yeah I actually don't see it in the rules either.

The way it works is if the card you turn in is a country you control you get a 2 army bonus to that country.

when you turn in a set of cards if you own the country named on one of the cards you get a 2 man bonus for each card that has a country you own really helps playing flat rate when you have 2 turn in a set of red

I was curious to know if anyone else would want to see this. I was thinking that when you play doubles or triples, there should be an option when creating the game to allow all your team mates to collect bonus armies when another player on the same team turns in his/her cards.

Example:

Player #1 turns in cards for Northwest Territories, Indonesia and China. Currently holds China.

Player # 2 Holds Indonesia.

Player #3 Holds none.

It would then allow Player #2 to collect bonus armies for the country he holds as well as Player #1.

I don't think this should be implemented accross the board, only an option for when creating a game. This could make it much more interesting and push people to develop new strategies...

Any opinions?
