Unfortunately freestyle doubles aren't common any more and even less so are the noobs you used to farm in them. Good luck though.

You might as well pretend you are a brand new player. Look into the SOC, if you like the standard design (similar to the old board game, though not exactly, of course). If you like more unusual maps or want to try some of the newer options, I suggest playing a few 1 on 1 games. Its a good way to get a handle on the rules and how the new options work without such a huge time commitment. Of course, strategies for multiple player games differ from 1 vs 1, but that way you are least know the maps first.

Thanks for your responses! The polymorphic option looks cool. I also see there is a strategy forum and will see if I can learn more there.

I wouldn't exactly take advice from mediocre players.

Welcome back, you'll grow to hate the current site. Especially as a freestyle player. They've effectively made it an anti-freestyle game.

You'll notice the only really annoying thing about the "new" site is the attitudes of the majority of the regular posters
