Is this kind of play illegal?

Hi, just looking for some insight into what just took place in the following tournament game:

Game 17800877

I am the last player to play each round. I have a snapshot of Round 29, after which one player deadbeated, the next two cashed cards and made no attacks because it was the final round. Blue just before me cashes and creates enough drop to advance to first place, but instead attacks me until he is in 3rd place eliminating his chance to win and taking me with him. He took 2 territs and a total of 18 troops from me.

Is this legal? It seems clearly intentional and beyond "accidental" or a failed attempt to win the game. He took himself from 1st place to 3rd, in order to keep me from winning. If this is legal, I just want that to be clear before I return the favor in another game or 5....

Nope, it's not that stupid if I understand well.
Blue knew that yellow (YOU) will win. Then he tried to put YOU down enough. Now, even with your incomes you'll have 205+14+2 = 221 => it's less than blue who have 226

Now you don't have another choice than attacking red (235) and green (239) and hope for good dice, to put them under your own total of troops LEFT!.
While doing that, maybe YOU + RED + GREEN will be under 226 troops and blue will win. Or you'll have to attack blue again. Until you have all of them under your own total!
Hard to win!

So it's not that stupid, it gives him one more option to win that game!

But what is sure, it's not against the rules! ;)

I strongly disagree. But if it's not illegal I'm going to go ahead and do it to him in the remaining games. Then I'll just claim my plan was everyone else 30 troops ahead of me were going to have reduce each other to my low level of troops to win.

I did try to win it, I attacked until I was in last place. There are no perfect dice that allow your opponents to lose 40 troops while you lose none, so why attack any further? That is not a strategy in my eyes, that's just being a dick/sore loser and it's dishonest towards the tourney results as a whole.

Should I pick who wins every game in a tourney that I go last in? Should i have attacked until Blue won, in order to prove your point that there was a .01% chance blue could win based on his last turn??

Actually I only checked your game, not the tournament results, so maybe yes it was pretty unfair in general, but it's still rules I presume. Except if you can show something bigger/
Also don't be angry about me, I just tried to answer your question.
But be angry vs this proper player and call REVENGE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good luck.

Yes, it is illegal. If mookie is indulging in such behavior I will be reporting him to the police.
