Ever Played RISK against yourself and yourself and yourself?

Ok so I love playing RISK, I have the 40th anniversary edition, I recently made my own homemade RISK board (it's a prototype) and I have played some games by myself. I play as six different players trying to make the moves that are in the best interest of each particular color I am playing as at the time. Ever tried this?

I've done it with the Risk 2220 or whatever game. It was incredibly boring and I felt bad about it afterwards.

You should too.

It's fine to play with yourself, but it's more fun with someone else.

Lol
Seriously though, it has helped me get ready to play with others, and it's a good way to learn se of these crazy maps on CC

I have a dry erase board and a thin sheet of clear plastic I use for drawing out my own maps. It is kinda costly to learn maps as you go on CC if you care about your rating. I haven't decided if I do or not.

I played chess against myself once. I thought it would make me feel all uber genius like Moriarty but it was just kind of shit and I gave up pretty quickly.

Yeah, I tried a few times but it was crushingly dull and I gave up after less than half a dozen attempts.

Seems to work well for Charlton Heston.

So basically you end up losing 5 times for just 1 win. Is te worth it? Playing with yourself for a 5 on 1 rate?

When I was a kid I often made board-games and attempted temporary schizophrenia :D
Never had a computer or a console as a child, and to be honest, rather glad I didn't. Imagination my friends. It is produced under the pressure of necessity.
Plenty of time for digital games as an adult anyway ;)

Are you saying you can’t have imagination and a computer / console as a kid? Imagination is not only flourished through necessity, I had a console by also designed many games as a kid. I still do, because let’s be honest I’m still a big kid in many ways. But out of 34 years, I’ve only been computer / console free for the first 4-5.

I played the Game of Life against myself. It's such a luck-driven game that even at the best of times it's not so exciting with other players. It's basically a solitary game anyway, I just played it 6x at the same time.

That means you also LOST and you won? RIGHT??

True for all such "play against myself" games, Right?
