What is the minimum number of players in a Mafia game?

There isn't necessarily. You do need to have enough players to keep the game interesting, but it depends on your format.

ok cool.
having one player would be illogical
having two players would be pointless
with 3 players, you could have 1 mafia and the other two try to figure out who it is. though 3's a bit skimpy
I say the minimum is 3 players.

I'd say the minimum players for a good game would be 7. However, most have more.

Anything more than 2. I did have an idea for a three player 1 day game with 2 vanilla townies and a scum with limited # of days to lynch based on PRs but regardless of practicality I didn't think it would be that fun for the people playing.

yeah, i agree. 3 players isn't enough. but it's the bare minimum for a "skeleton crew" game
it's always more fun with more peopl
as they say "the more the merrier"

There are RT set ups that work with 5 players, like Dethy games, which have mafia, a paranoid cop, a naive cop, an insane cop and a regular cop and also lyncher games, which have a lyncher, lynchee, two townies and mafia.

Other than those 7 is generally the bare minimum for a good quality game.

I'd say 7 should be a minimum for a good game, but I'm sure you could probably also do a fun mini game with 5.
But... It was so artistically done.

You also forgot vengeful, another 5 player setup.

There's also Eyewitness for a 3 player mafia game (if I remember right)

Also I have to add that LYNCHER SUCKS.

I'd play in this game.
