Oh and welcome ng1, cool to play another game with you. Is your brother around in case we need a new replacement?

Actually its quite funny, I told him that I was now in 3 games and we needed replacements and he said he would possibly mail thechuck to replace into the game, so he could possibly be showing up.

unvote good to see a replacement. As for the lynx's comment about warlord/ng being town, it's true that statistically a random lynch will hit a townie. But that's only because townies outnumber mafia. Using that as a reason not to lynch an inactive I don't believe is valid because it applies to anyone.

Sorry guys, I just got back from Shanghai. I didn't expect to lose my internet connection in such a modern city, but I did. I'm still active.

I have no position to take at this time. I honestly suck at finding cases day one and so I completely understand you wanting to get a claim from me today just so that day 1 is not completely wasted.

What exactly is a "small" pressure push? The idea behind a vote, besides day one jokes votes, is usually the belief that someone is suspicious enough to have pressure put on them so they are forced to claim or be lynched.

Calling this a small pressure push is kinda like saying someone is a little pregnant.

I am not sure what is worse the small pressure push idea or the fact that Newguy is rolling over so easily. If newguy is really mafia he is going to false claim anyway. It just strikes me as weird.

Im rolling over because over the games I have played, I have found that nothing gets you lynched on day 1 quicker than taking a vote too seriously and trying to defend yourself rapidly and with haste. Therefore, I am trying the extreme opposite direction, and not giving a second glance at the vote. His vote makes sense in a way because its lynch an inactive or gather enough steam on another player before the deadline. I had steam from votes previously put on me from when the person before me went inactive, and so with the deadline coming near, it makes sense to use the votes gathered to pressure me before the deadline. While I dont appreciate the votes, there is little to nothing I can do about them, and so I figured I shouldnt fret about them.

If nothing more is added we will eventually end up in the situation where you have the most votes as we approach the deadline regardless of how you handled those votes. So you are just delaying the inevitable...

In fact, as I was last posting I was thinking this. I guess its mostly a situation where Im willing to claim, but I dont wish to. At this point I am also split between wanting a lynch on an inactive and a no lynch due to lack of activity... if that makes any sense.

It does.

I would rather lynch an inactive over newguy but the moment I vote an inactive, they raise their head, so for now my vote stays on Kirk, in case his post is a 1-hit-wonder.

I should have posted this last night but i expected to have better internet access on my trip than i do so i wont be as active as i would like to be over the last few days of day one in the game. I told chuck about this when i signed up as a replacement and he didnt seem to have an issue with it. I am also doing this via my phone so things will come much slower than I would like them to.

So on with the case against new guy. This does seem to be random bandwagon gathering like all day one cases tend to be. And with the end of day one coming to and end quickly the sooner we know the "role" the sooner we can discuss if we think it is viable for the game, or if we dont trust it.

I dont think we would be able after the discussion to move to a second person withought an extension. I am not aposed to asking for one if we are having a good discussion but if things are dying off we may not be able to do much about it.

If there is a magic number where ng will want votes to be before he reveals. But i dont want to see the replacements come in and place the hammer on accident. So i will hold my vote off for now. But am more than willing to place it if necessary.

I was hoping to see lynx place some more thoughts as to some of the questions we asked. But we havent had any major luck with that.

Where has lynx been i was hoping to see something a little more substantial from him once he got back.

NG you are seem to be tettering and havent offered up a different push or a replacement which strikes me as off. I noted you are playing the odds against claiming; I see where you are going with it but that can easily blow up in your face cause at this point I am leaning more towards the scummy side of you

Hi all. Sorry for my absence, still having internet issues here. I'll be moving into a flat over the weekend so should have an internet connection soon. I'll definitely get on before deadline to re-evaluate my vote based on how kgb has responded. It might have to be brief depending on my workload.

Very well then, I understand that claim time has come. I am Detective Roland "Prez" Pryzbylewski, Town Paranoid Gun Owner. I have never seen the series, so i cant give any backup to the claim.
