Mornington Crescent

Postby icedagger on Fri Apr 25, 2008 12:42 pm

I'm sure a few of us know how to play this so let's get a game started! I was thinking Franco-German rules with the standard Wiltshire variation, unless anyone wants to triple-cross.

I'll start off with Bond Street.

I almost have the feeling that the goal of this game is to confuse onlookers.

What a ridiculous game. The sad thing is, I unknowingly almost played it properly...

I'd appreciate if you guys didn't troll the game thanks. It's bad enough realising I could have blocked off the entire Southern left quadrant in my first post, providing a Greenman gambit is forced out

Ah, I've looked up the rules, and I'd be happy to play. However, the Wiltshire variation is bunk. It just had to be said.

That move was illegal under the Blackshire-Maxwell rule. Try again.

Yep seems crab has forfitted his go with a real begginer's error.. which leaves a nice window open for me to backtrail all the way through the northern line to finchley central. The triple diagonal is of course blocked here through the Lewin ruling of '58..

Hmm... since it appears nobody else is playing at the moment, I guess I'll go again.

And this chain of events allows me to make a move you don't get to try very often... I'll pull a "Chalfont & Latimer" here and play Mill Hill East. This should set me up for a nice switchfive exchange a few turns down.

Genius. And I thought I had the circle line Lanacaster'd in five..

I'll have to take the convservative option here and doublejump back to Camden. Should break your half-swerve at Liverpool Street at the very least

I just read the rules. How do you know where all the railways are and how do you remember them?

You have to either live in london, or have a map of the tube system up on your browser. Make sure it's up to date, or you'll break the turnwise-closure rule.

The tube system, the london underground, the london subway. The very basis of the game, unless you try a Simmons Rehash. Did you really read the rules?

I understand but you just threw me off with the turnwise-closure rule.

Refer to the Samuel ploy from two years ago.

Ouch... that move was better than you thought. I was going to go for a Jubilee Line size-match. Well, I suppose Green Park is the best I can do.

Anybody feel free to jump in any time. Just keep in mind the standard Hounslow Delay penalty.
