Hmmm, continents of 9 countries having 7 borders arent a good deal... anyway, I think it has little appeal...

I could remove one of the cubes...
I could make the connections between them only 1 line per color.

any other ideas on how to solve the problem with the many borders?

what if you made 6 cubes, each with one face? you spread them out, and then, you could elect borders, so that each continent could attack at least one country on every other continent! im not sure, but it sounds like fun to me

maybe if only the middle piece on the edge could attack over to the next color? ( 3 borders on all but red and orange that would have 2 borders )

or something weird like the middle piece is connected to the middle of the cube so you can attack the other two middles?
and then some connection to the other cube in some way?

if you like this, please help me with ideas on how to balance it and make it playable.

what about the 6 cube idea? it wouldn't be too hard to set up borders, and it would give a flair no other map has. attack from any continent to any continent. you could assign more borders for some, and less for others

Maybe scramble the blocks, so not all the countries in a single continent are adjacent. Just an idea, but it might work.

Maybe something like this?
Borders stands for bonus. Vertical attacks on same colour possible.
But Im not sure Im gonne play it tho  Well, maybe I will
And if you wanna bring down the amount of coutries take two of every side;)
And so you even got a beter country divercation.
Maybe it should even be -Borders minus 1- for Bonus..

I just noticed that 60% would like to play this map.
so the question is: should I continue to work on it?

what does the admins (or someone who knows) think about the copyright?
could we use the cubes?

I think it is excellent, I'm one of the large % saying yes!

Cool idea, but I don't think we could implement that...
anyway.. I'm gonna send them a mail asking about the copyright, and ask for their permission to use the pictures. sending it when I get home this week.
so keep giving me ideas on how the map should look and work.
