Jim's Tourney Series #2: Doubles Marathon (winner:dazza2008)

So I came up with a new idea: How about a series of 64 tournaments, of varying format and on varying boards, each with a theme? The winner of each gets to participate in the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP, a NCAA basketball style tournament, with predetermined settings for each matchup! Win more than one, find yourself on multiple bracket lines and more chances to win it all. The winner of tournament 1 will get first pick of the 64 slots, tournament 2 second pick, and so on. Some tournaments will have teams, some singles. Some have Fog related settings, some Spoils settings, some on certain boards, some on any board.

Tournament 2 is a doubles playing tournament. However, you will sign up as an individual. Each of the 15 rounds, you will be paired with a different fellow tournament player against 2 opponents; you will play with each other player as your partner exactly once. The team which wins the game will each score points toward the tournament standings equal to 31 minus the round number in which they win. Their opponents will score points if the winners score fewer than 20, such that the total number of points awarded in that game is 20. A game which lasts into round 21 is declared a draw, and each team receives 10 points. The individual with the most points at the end will be declared the winner. All games are sunny.

Settings will be as follows
Round 1 - Automatic, Flat Rate, Chained, Poison Rome
Round 2 - Manual, Escalating, Unlimited, USA
Round 3 - Automatic, Nuclear, Chained, Discworld
Round 4 - Manual, Flat Rate, Chained, Europe 1914
Round 5 - Automatic, Escalating, Unlimited, New World
Round 6 - Manual, Nuclear, Unlimited, US Senate
Round 7 - Automatic, Flat Rate, Adjacent, Doodle Earth
Round 8 - Manual, Escalating, Chained, Conquer Man
Round 9 - Automatic, Nuclear, Unlimited, Halloween Hollows
Round 10 - Manual, Flat Rate, Chained, Dawn of Ages
Round 11 - Automatic, Escalating, Unlimited, Das Schloss
Round 12 - Manual, Nuclear, Adjacent, Luxembourg
Round 13 - Automatic, Flat Rate, Chained, Arms Race
Round 14 - Manual, Escalating, Unlimited, 8 Thoughts
Round 15 - Automatic, Nuclear, Chained, Mexico

Sign up to get a chance at the GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP!

The USA map appears to be going very quickly, with rather high scores for the winning teams. I'm going to wait on Round 3 for a bit to give the Poison Rome time to finish up - I'd prefer not to have more than 2 rounds going at a time, for the sake of standings.
