Quick and Painless Tournament [Winner: banana_hammocks]

Aren’t you all tired of those games where everyone just waits around, stocking up troops, leading to a game going in the hundreds of rounds? Aren’t you even more annoyed when those games occur in tournaments holding up all the other games and usually causing abandoned tournaments? I SURE AM!
This is exactly why I’ve tried to create the perfect speed tournament! (No that does not mean we will be using speed games). Normal 24hr casual games but all the points go to how many players you eliminate, how quickly you do so and how long you survive.
The format will be like the following:

- There will be 4 groups each containing 8 players
- Each player in the group will have a home map and home settings (however, standard, sequential and sunny are mandatory for every player as this is all about speed and knocking out players and we want to make it as fair for each player as possible)
- Therefore, *you* choose: map, fortifications, card type and whether your game will be played in standard or terminator style!
- Top four from each group progress onwards into 2 groups of 8 following the same format
- Top 4 from each 2nd round group advance to final round of 8 players with same format
- The player with the most points in the end will be crowned champion! (points do not accumulate between rounds, each round is independent which means you start scratch at zero in the next round)
- Premium and Freemium are all invited. However, freemiums must have at least 1 game slot open at all times.

As to how points are awarded:

- For the points on survival: first eliminated gets 0 points, 2nd eliminated gets 1 point, and so on till we have a winner of the game who gets 7 points
- For elimination points: each player you eliminate gets you 2 points
- For elimination points based on time: added to the 2 points above, if you eliminate the person in the first 5 rounds (1-5) you get 6 points, if you eliminate someone in the next 5 rounds (6-10) you gets 4 points, if you eliminate someone in the next 5 rounds (11-15) you gets 2 points, and anything after round 15 gets you no extra points
- IMPORTANT! - If the game goes into the 21st round, the game will be declared dead and no more points will be given to eliminating players. Yes, you still need to finish the game for your own conquer club points, but no more tournament points will be given
- Ex: Of the original 8 on the map, 5 have been eliminated and 3 are left when round 21 begins. This means these three players will all be given 5 points (no one gets the 7 1st place points or the 6 2nd place points)
- In case of a tie, the tiebreaker will be person with most kills. Second tiebreaker is most rounds survived in all games.

Now, I’m looking for 32 keen, fast players who are interested to start the tournament as well as 5+ reserves, because we want it fast and deadbeats in a tournament make it last too long in my opinion. If interested leave me your specs and I’ll put you in. THANKS!

Editted: Due to the poll results, each player will have one more available choice to make - whether they would like their home map to be played on standard mode or terminator mode!

(This is my first tournament so if you have any comments or ideas, post it up right here)

Link Here: http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=91&t=47214&p=1520067#p1520061

Games and Results:

Under each game, the order listed for points is in reverse order of their elimination (i.e. last man standing is first and first one eliminated from that game is last)The first number beside the name is the # of players eliminated, the next is extra elimination points based on the round he eliminated said players, and the final number is the TOTAL points obtained in this game. Example: 1. herndawg - 5, 20, 37 means herndawg won the game and got 7 points for being first, eliminated 5 people and got 10 points, of the 5 people he got 20 extra elimination points based on the round he eliminated each, for a grand total of 37 points!

as of now, i'll see how many people have problems with the number of players. If more people see it as a concern and there are not enough joiners, then i shall change it, but as of now, i would like it to have the most possible players and points.

All above are added
kljjr, still need your specs

I hate to "risk" sounding like a tardohead but........ Does this layout mean for the first round we play 8 games in a row, not starting the next one till the one before is finished, on each player in our groups setting and map? This could be more than quick for a first round. And since we will be going for eliminations not the game so much there may be more failed attempts and game give away moves that make Terminator a good standard setting as far as points in CC go. I really like this tourney idea but need a bit more specifics please. Perhaps I am not assuming enough and overthinking like always heh heh. hope this doesn't fill before response :P

Well I was thinking magic, but that wont work because they must be 8 person, and since the name of the game is speed, I guess I have to go doodle (may be changed when I am fully awake).
