Oceanic Doubles [Winners: abel and Quack.][TO: b00060]

Welcome to the Oceanic Doubles tournament thread! This tournament features 16 teams (32 players total) competing in 4 rounds. Either come with your partner or ask to be assigned one. Each games will be picked at random from the “oceanic” themed list below. All players will play on the same maps.

Battle of Actium
Caribbean Islands
High Seas
Age of Merchants
Pearl Harbor
Treasures of Galapagos

Spoils will be escalating in all games. The fog setting will be random because of the tournament theme. Weather on the ocean can seem to be random at times, and this usually affects visibility!

Freemiums are welcome, but you are required to keep 3 slots open during the duration of the tournament, as the best of three games is required to advance (With the exception of round 3).

3rd round: This round is a little unusual, but I think it will make things interesting and will test your teams ability to work with other teams. Each team remaining will be matched with all of the other teams for 6 quadruple games.

Example: Teams A, B, C, and D are remaining.
Game 1: A and B vs. C and D.
Game 2: A and C vs. B and D.
Game 3: A and D vs. C and B.
Pattern is repeated for a total of 6 quadruple games. If freemium players are present, only 3 games will be played at a time.

The two teams on the most winning quad. teams will advance. Tiebreakers will go back to the best of three format.

The winning team will be determined in the 4th round as best of 3.

Good luck everyone, and please message me any questions you have!

Thanks for the pm - please sign me up.

I'm happy for you to allocate me a partner - although, never really having played doubles, the partner might not want to be allocated to me!

Thanks

Don't worry about not having a partner, lots of people don't yet! I'll assign you one before the tournament starts. You won't get left out!
