Good mobile games?

Postby TheDrunkenBoxer on Thu Jan 03, 2019 8:05 am

Hey guys! Hope the holidays were good to ya :)

So... I have a stash of games on my phone that I sometimes go to whenever I feel that this could be the day those darn dice make me quit CC for good  I thought that maybe, if anyone has any good mobile games to recommend, we could share these with each other. Preferably casual stuff to pick up and put down, and not those horrible things that require levelling up and that give you homework assignments...

Also (main reason for writing this) I've been playing a strategy game called "The Battle for Polytopia". It was originally just a single-player thing, but they recently added multiplayer. But not random matching; so you gotta add people as friends to play against them. Best thing about the game is THERE ARE NO DICE. Only bit of randomness is the maps get randomly generated for every game. Otherwise, I'd say it's just about 100% skill-based. Anyway, if anyone wants to give it a whirl, my profile tag is: KwUZhT97mX4NuO8S (FaviusCorax is the name, I think).

And as a second recommendation, there's a great card game called Coup. (No dice, and no levels. My name is "R J" there. R space J. With a raccoon ava.)

Links (for android, though they might be on Apple or PC as well for all I know...):

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=air.com.midjiwan.polytopia

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.bananaandco.coup

So what games do you guys recommend? :D

If you don’t want any homework assignment i d recommend you to buy a game; we know what a free mobile game means. They will force you to become a slave to the game till you purchase some items. And there is always new stuff and crap..

Sounds very painful.

NOT mobile, but I am not sure where else to put this, without starting a new thread, SO HERE:

I really enjoyed playing the Game of LIFE; some of the others I have not ever heard of.

Game of Life (1977 Edition)
The 1977 version of The Game of Life brought players through different stages of adulthood, from college to retirement. This edition had a simpler design than its modern counterparts but still featured the iconic spinner and 3D board setup. It embraced the era’s aesthetics, and the physical quality of the components was sturdy. Today, collectors seek out the 1977 version for its retro charm. A complete, well-maintained set can sell for around $50 to $150, depending on the condition and if all original pieces are included.

Here is one such:
Space Crusade
Space Crusade, first released in 1990, allowed players to lead space marine squads into battles against alien forces in a futuristic setting. It was a spinoff of HeroQuest and Warhammer 40K, blending tactical combat with science fiction. The game included detailed miniatures, including space marines, dreadnoughts, and various alien enemies. Its interactive combat system and cooperative gameplay gave it lasting appeal. Today, original Space Crusade sets, particularly those with undamaged miniatures and complete components, can sell for $200 to $500, depending on condition. Expansion sets, such as Mission Dreadnought and Eldar Attack, are highly sought after and can command higher prices, sometimes reaching $800 for rare, mint-condition versions.

A recent discovery:

Mindbug Online

"Mindbug distills all the excitement of strategy card games and transforms it into the most streamlined card battler of the multiverse.

Accessible and fair, yet extremely challenging and deep. Mindbug is a skill-based dueling card game that feels utterly different from all the other card games you've played before.

From Richard Garfield – Creator of Magic the Gathering

With Richard Garfield (Creator of Magic: The Gathering) as one of the designers, this game has been designed with more than 30 years of card game experience and combined with a groundbreaking and innovative new game mechanic.

Crazy Card Abilities – OMG this is OP

In Mindbug, each card is insanely powerful. There are no weak cards, and it feels like all your options are completely overpowered. Every single decision in this game matters. Turn the tables with a single move. It’s all up to you and your skill.

Fast and Intense Matches

A game of Mindbug can be played in less than 5 minutes, making it perfect for when you have a few minutes to spare. But don’t be fooled by its quickness – the strategic depth will blow your mind.

Infinite Strategies

Even though Mindbug is extremely easy to learn, the game will keep surprising you with new and exciting challenges and combos. The unique Mindbug mechanic allows you to control your opponents’ creatures and leads to unique decision-making that requires even veteran card game players to adjust their traditional playstyle.

Not a collectible card game – No Pay to win!

Mindbug is not a trading card game. There are no loot boxes, no random cards, and no pay-to-win. If you buy a card set, you can play with it as much as you want.
What are you waiting for earthling? Show your incredible skill and turn your opponents’ strongest creatures into your own advantage! Play Mindbug Online Now!"
