Fuel costs have meant that everything has been sacrifices for greater fuel economy. Cabovers are great for city work, but on the highway they cost a lot in fuel due to aerodynamic drag.
A lot of guys miss the cabovers.
I remember late 70's, early 80's, when I was hitchhiking around the continent, cabovers were everywhere.
