Do you remember the Great War?

Postby DoomYoshi on Mon Nov 27, 2017 12:21 pm

Probably not since you weren't alive. However, culturally it has become irrelevant as well. The first World War I movie in this decade was War Horse. The second was Wonder Woman. That's it.

It's a World War 2 movie.

That's as closely related to World War I as Wonder Woman is, so it's now on the list. We are up to 3 people!

What's up with all these random Christian Bale films? He did a Chinese one about the massacre in Nanjing as well.

Maybe he just loves stories about foreigners being genocided.

Of course I do.
Great War = Insanely long-winded and tiresome mega-tournament. Avoid at all costs.

I can't read or write today probably should wrap it up. I might have been going for Paschendale then again would it count? Probably not released to very many markets.

I liked it. It's by Zhang Yimou so there are a few shots where he tries to make it look all arty just for the sake of looking arty, but it's a good film. It's called The Flowers of War.

That's almost 10 years old! I mean the decade that started in 2010, that isn't quite done yet.

They didn't rebuff me, they acknowledged that I was correct.
