Here's more fun facts for you.

"Navalny was a Russian Opposition Coordination Council member. He was the leader of the Russia of the Future party and founder of the Anti-Corruption Foundation (FBK). He was recognised by Amnesty International as a prisoner of conscience, and was awarded the Sakharov Prize for his work on human rights."

Here's even funner facts:

Pack Rat wrote:"Navalny was a Russian Opposition Coordination Council member.

Not a single major opposition political party joined the Opposition Coordination Council. The Coordination Council was a group of 45 people. It dissolved itself in 2012, after existing for 14 months.

Pack Rat wrote:He was the leader of the Russia of the Future party

Russia For the Future won 0 (zero ... also known a nil, zilch, zippo, nada) seats in the last State Duma election. These are the anti-Putin opposition parties (all of whom want nothing to do with Navalny) that won more than 0 seats:
    - Communist Party (57 seats)
    - A Just Russia (27 seats)
    - New People (13 seats) -- technically not anti-Putin, just not a pro-government party

He was recognised by Amnesty International as a prisoner of conscience

In 2021 Amnesty revoked the recognition. They issued the following statement:

“After painstaking consideration, we concluded that we had made a mistake in our initial determination. In making that determination, we ... [had] given insufficient weight to some of his previous comments which, as far as Amnesty is aware, have not been publicly renounced. We concluded that some of these reached the threshold of advocacy of hatred, at odds with our definition of a POC, and took an internal decision to refrain from using the term in future.”

You should really exercise better judgment and not just let Raytheon and Boeing-funded corporate mass media drip their one-sided stories into your wide open brain ... drip, drip, drip, drip ...

Danny Haiphong posted a great video mashup showing Navalny's history as a "leader" ... leading attacks against Muslim-owned shops, calling for the carpet bombing of residential areas of Tbilisi, and calling for immigrants to be swatted and killed like flies.

https://twitter.com/SpiritofHo/status/1 ... 3575148933

One of the reasons Americans and Western Europeans are so delightfully stupid is that the Boeing-funded corporate media can keep recycling the same con on them month after month, without even taking a breath, and they keep swallowing it. They literally can't remember the last lie you told them three weeks before. Their brains - fattened and dulled with fast food and free porn - are like sieves.

Maybe Biden can send a hit squad to Moscow and throw Saxi out the window. Or. Drop a little Polonium-210 into his tea.

The reality is that Putin has his way of silencing any opposition with threats, beatings, arrests, accidents (damn windows) and murder.

Russia has suffered over 300,000 casualties in a war of aggression against it's much smaller neighbor. The Russian people, especially the mothers are sick of this war in which a entire generation is being slaughtered or losing limbs. But, with every protest, more civilians are being thrown in prison, losing their jobs or being forced to fight in Ukraine after a little training. Russians are being silenced.

Except these are just words on a screen. There is absolutely no evidence of any of this. The Boeing-funded corporate media have just dribbled this into your brain so consistently - drip, drip, drip - that you repeat it with the assumption that there is probably evidence somewhere, even if you can't actually cite it.

Putin's harshest critic is Gennady Zyuganov. He has spent the last 20 years criticizing him relentlessly. He's run against him. He votes against United Russia legislation in the State Duma more than 75% of the time. He's even tried to file criminal charges against Putin.

But Zyuganov has not spent a day in jail and he's a healthy 79 years old.

The difference is that Zyuganov is a critic, not a crook. He's never laundered money or embezzled funds from his own group.

Lyndon LaRouche was a vocal critic of the Democrats and Republicans. He ended up in prison on charges of embezzlement and tax evasion. No one in the U.S. seriously claims that Lyndon LaRouche was a political prisoner. Everyone accepts he was a corrupt nutcase and he was imprisoned for being financially corrupt, not his political beliefs.

Navaleny is the Lyndon LaRouche of Russia. He is a fringe critic of Putin who happens to also be a money launderer. He was convicted of money laundering and sent to prison for money laundering.

When Westerners suck off Navaleny's cock it looks as sane and detached from reality to Russians as if Russians were crying that Lyndon LaRouche was a leading, widely respected American opposition figure who went to jail for his beliefs. Why do you enjoy being fluffers for Boeing and Raytheon? Why do you enjoy swallowing hot loads of arms manufacturer spunk?

Maxim Kuzminov, who murdered two of his fellow soldiers, and stole a helicopter and flew to Ukraine in exchange for $1 million and a new identity, was found dead in Spain yesterday, shot five times and dumped in the middle of the street. Despite being given a new name and passport and living under the protection of the Guardia Civil, he only survived 126 days from the date of his defection.

That's how Russia deals with traitors.

Not giving them just enough poison that they lose some hair and have to go on Rogaine. And then keeping them in prison for a few years feeding them unhealthy food until they die of high cholesterol. Russia doesn't annoy people to death. If Russia wanted Navalny dead he would have been dead with a bullet 10 years ago.

"He used to attend the Russian march, a very far-right nationalist group generally behind the slogan of 'Russia for ethnic Russians'. Anybody who expects Navalny to be an ideal Western liberal Democrat has been mistaken," she tells Euronews.

His ultra-nationalist sentiment was prominent in a video dating back some 17 years filled with xenophobic comments.

"Everything in our way should be carefully but decisively removed through deportation," Navalny said in the video dressed as a dentist, comparing immigrants to dental cavities.

Amnesty International stripped the opposition leader of the "prisoner of conscience" status based on this clip.

"The Georgian public felt betrayed by Navalny after the 2008 Russo-Georgian war," says Kornely Kakachia, Political Science Professor at Tbilisi State University.

"Everyone expected Navalny to be anti-Putin and anti-imperialist, but he supported the invasion."

Navalny led a group that had, at most, 5,000 members. He was never an "opposition leader." He was an anti-Putin blogger. The West merely promoted him because the main anti-Putin Russian opposition party -- the CPRF-- is the continuation of the Communist Party of 1917-1991 which is both anti-Putin and anti-NATO. And the second largest party, SRZP, is also both anti-Putin and anti-NATO.

They, together, hold more than 100 seats in the State Duma and their deputies are daily denouncing Putin (without winding up in Siberian prisons). But you never hear about them because they're not the kind of opposition the West wants to acknowledge. The West wants an opposition leader who is not only anti-Putin but also pro-Raython/pro-Boeing. So they promote a low-level crook - convicted of money laundering and embezzlement - who is completely obscure and unknown in Russia itself.

"Navalny was named "Person of the Year 2009" by Russian business newspaper Vedomosti[471][472] and by stock exchange observer Stock in Focus.[473]

On 22 April 2010, Navalny was awarded the Finance magazine prize in the nomination "for protecting the rights of minority shareholders".[474][475]

Navalny was a World Fellow at Yale University's World Fellows Program, aimed at "creating a global network of emerging leaders and to broaden international understanding" in 2010.[476]

In 2011, Foreign Policy magazine named Navalny to the FP Top 100 Global Thinkers, along with Daniel Domscheit-Berg and Sami Ben Gharbia of Tunisia, for "shaping the new world of government transparency".[477] FP picked him again in 2012.[478] He was listed by Time magazine in 2012 as one of the world's 100 most influential people, the only Russian on the list.[479] In 2013, Navalny came in at No. 48 among "world thinkers" in an online poll by the UK magazine Prospect.[480]

In 2015, Alexei and Oleg Navalny were chosen to receive the "Prize of the Platform of European Memory and Conscience 2015". According to the platform's statement, "The Members of the Platform have voted this year for the Navalny brothers, in recognition of their personal courage, struggle and sacrifices for upholding fundamental democratic values and freedoms in the Russian Federation today. By the award of the Prize, the Platform wishes to express its respect and support to Mr. Oleg Navalny whom the Platform considers a political prisoner, and to Mr. Alexei Navalny for his efforts to expose corruption, defend political pluralism and opposition to the mounting authoritarian regime in the Russian Federation".[481]

In June 2017, Navalny was included in Time's list of the World's 25 Most Influential People on the Internet.[482] In December 2017, he was named "Politician of the Year 2017" by Vedomosti.[483][484]

He was named "Politician of the Year 2019" by readers of Vedomosti.[485]

Navalny was nominated for the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize by multiple Norwegian members of parliament.[486][487] An Internet petition to the Nobel Committee in support of Navalny's candidacy was signed by over 38,000 people.[488]

Following Navalny's imprisonment in February 2021, the Boris Nemtsov Foundation for Freedom awarded Navalny with the Boris Nemtsov Prize for Courage.[489] A scenic viewpoint of Alexei Navalny was also set in Prague in direct view from the Russian Embassy, near Boris Nemtsov Square in front of the Russian Embassy and the Anna Politkovskaya Promenade.[490][491]

On 8 June 2021, Navalny's daughter accepted the Moral Courage Award at the Geneva Summit for Human Rights and Democracy on behalf of her father. Navalny dedicated the prize to political prisoners.[492] In September 2021, Navalny was included in Time's list of the 100 most influential people. This was his second appearance on the list, having previously been included in 2012.[493]

In September 2021, he was awarded the Knight of Freedom Award conferred by the Casimir Pulaski Foundation.[494][495][496]

In October 2021, he received the Sakharov Prize, the European Parliament's annual human rights prize.[497] David Sassoli, the President of the European Parliament, announced that the award was to recognise that Navalny "has fought tirelessly against the corruption of Vladimir Putin's regime. This cost him his liberty and nearly his life".[498]

Later that same year, he also received a German prize for his efforts in sustaining freedom of expression – the M100 Media Award.[499][496]

In 2023, the documentary film about him, Navalny, directed by Daniel Roher, won Best Documentary at the 76th British Academy Film Awards and Best Documentary Feature at the 95th Academy Awards.[500][501][502]"

Instead of using quote marks, highlight everything and then click the quote button and where it says {quote} insert ="Wikipedia" . or just post the wikipedia link directly but above way is more fun and comes out looking like this...
