I picked up this book about the origins of mountain biking. California and other western states get a lot of credit. For those interested in Dirt.

Tragically, my super cool uncle died horribly on his mountain bike. OP doesn't do it for me :(

My neighbor did the Hut2Hut challenge in Utah. He did finish but all the others in the group dropped out. Said he would never go back it was so hard.
