It appears the last two spots on the leaderboard are between Swifte, GreenBaize, and myself. All 3 of us are locked in to get more than 603 counting this last remaining tournament (sorry ZaBeast, you are out). As of current place, Swifte would be the one who doesn't make it.

All prizes have now been awarded! A massive congratulations is overdue for overlander, the final Grand Prize winner. =D> =D> =D> =D> =D>

................................................Image

I really would like to congratulate each and every player who placed anywhere except dead last, and to thank every single one of you who participated. It might get repetitive, though, so I just refer you to the scoreboard:
Link to scoreboard

If you have a look, you'll note that the scoreboard, which ran Top 50 during the event, has been temporarily expanded to Top 200. These dynamic scoreboards put significant stress on the server, though, so this is a limited-time thing. On December 31st, the scoreboard will revert to Top 50 for archiving. That's a little over a month for everyone to have a look, see how they placed, and maybe reminisce a bit.

:D

Since the dynamic scoreboard will revert, I've created a text-based copy of it for posterity:
show: top 200

On a personal note, I fell off the Top 50 in the later days. I kept a running total in my head of where I placed, and estimated that I was somewhere around 65th. In fact, I was 63rd, which is unspectacular but satisfying for a mediocre player like myself.

This was the most-heavily prized CC event of all time. Everybody in the Top 50 got a prize, and the Top 10 got some pretty hefty credit stacks. There were also 50 GAs awarded for the best performances in each week. Hope you are all enjoying the spoils of war!

:D

For those who want to delve more deeply into the numbers, here is jytreberg's more detailed spreadsheet:

I want to thank everyone who helped. Most especially Mad777, who took on many jobs here, linking tourneys to the lists, giving regular status updates, and even awarding the GA medals in the later days. Mad777 really saved me when RL was preventing me from giving this event the attention it deserved. Thank you.

Thanks once again to jytreberg for his excellent spreadsheet.

Thank you to EBConquer for the beautiful mastheads and numerous graphic supports!

Thanks to everyone who gave suggestions and advice: DoomYoshi, jmyork82, Razorvich, IcePack, EBConquer, CatchersMitt14, groovysmurf, Mad777, biscuit boy, ThorThoth, phersjm, and of course josko.ri, who made the (incredibly popular!) suggestion for the weekly GAs.

Thank you to bigWham, who's website makes these events possible, and to king achilles for technical support and the painstaking task of handing out the final prizes.

Thank you for all the many compliments I received during this event. They are too numerous to mention individually, but there are two that stick out in my memory:

Ace Rimmer wrote:I just want a quick thank you for choosing CMC to represent AL. Seeing as how the map maker is from AL it makes sense :)

It's amazing how far a brief note of appreciation like that will go.

I really hope everybody had a good time. As I see people flocking to Mad's Map Mapsters series, I know the Supertournament is a winning idea and will be a fixture of this site for some time to come.

Finally, thank you to all our American friends for having a big, beautiful country which inspired this contest. Whether breaking my ass up the trail on the slopes of Mount McKinley, or getting tossed out of the bar in Anchorage for being under age, or fumbling my way through my first teenage love affair in that magical campground at San Bernardino, or just loafing on the beach at Corpus Christii, or cooking on the sidewalk in Miami Beach (because the nearest campground was just too damn far!), or watching the sun rise over Colorado Springs, or struggling to keep it on the highway in the middle of a blinding snowstorm in the mountain passes of Interstate 68, or firing an M-16 at the gun nut convention at Sinnemahoning, or staggering blind drunk in front of the gates of Yankee Stadium, or touching the space capsules on display at Cape Canaveral, or just laying in a beautiful field of spring flowers in Alabama (knowing that back home, my wife and kids were dealing with a foot of snow in our driveway, lol, sometimes it pays to be a long-distance driver!) or swimming in the waterfall at Havasu Canyon, I have so many joyous memories of your country, and I'm happy I was able to do something to honour it.

I'll leave you with a final look at EBConquer's main graphical theme:

Also, some of the graphics that didn't make the cut:

Thanks Duk for an awesome tournament. I did circle back on the spreadsheet and find one error with the results for Montana not tallying properly. This has been rectified and all numbers should align with the on site scoreboard. The only differences may be in the case of ties.
