Maple Leafs and Penguins 4 and 5 at present , but have games to play to those above , so may go higher
Redwings and Rangers sitting 6 and 7 , looking safe unless some one hits a run late and they slip
Canadiens holding 8
in the mix
Sabres and Bruins looking in , have games in hand , so need to start winning to pressure the playoff spots
Senators still in it , but need wins and Canadiens to start losing
Last 5 are done for the season

Western update

Avalanche looking good to lock in number 1
Blackhawks will be 2 at lowest
Predators currently at 3
Canucks and Wild take 4 and 5 at present
Blues at 6 , looking good to lock down a playoff spot
Ducks and Oilers at 7 and 8 , looking over their shoulders
Stars sit outside the playoffs , but have hit a run of form recently
Rest look done for the season

All regular season games are now out

Sabres take the final seed for the East , Canadiens lose the tie break , so even with a win in their final game , they will finish 9th

Stars van still grab a playoff spot if they win out over Oilers

West playoffs. - Oilers take last spot , Stars still have 2 games , but both are into overtime , so they will not get the 6 points required to overtake Edmonton
