Note the emoticon. And I only even responded to one other person that voted for me, and that was just to point out that he was voting for me, when he had three other people voting for him. Seemed kind of silly to target another person and encourage them to switch their votes to him as well.

Paranoid much? Seemed like DiM was just making a couple jokes if you ask me. And three votes is hardly anything to worry about so early in the day.

Vote: Mr. Squirrel

What you just said seems weird, since there was nothing paranoid about that statement. And you were actually the first true suspect I had. It stood out to be that you voted dazza for voting me, when shield had actually done so first. May not be a lot to go on, but I'm running with it.

yomiel, on CC we joke-vote for at least a month or two in each game before doing any meaningful scumhunting. So unless people start getting serious like you are atm, we just ignore everything they say. mostly.

Also, if you joined the site for mafia, why have you not joined any games in the year you have been here? that seems scummier than all... unvote vote yomiel for attempted n00b town-leading, and several bombings.

I'm a new member, and NOT a new player. After what I went through on the other site, I'm not crazy about being voted for because of anything related to being new and/or told I'll be ignored.

Also, I really hope you're joking. I would expect this site to have its own way of doing thing, but months of joking is just kind of...too much. Joking can happen during the game, but putting the game off just for that is kind of off-putting to me.: (

I will always try to lead the Town to victory.

vote happyfeet because I've never played with you before.

As for the lag time between creating the account and playing mafia or CC games, I think it's understandable. I mean, I only played a couple mafia games when I made my account, took like a 2 year break from CC, and then came back. So I don't necessarily see anything odd about that if there was any possible serious intent there.

i was joking. this is the joke-votes. in all seriousness, it usually lasts a few days. then we start to get serious. try not to take anything personally, its just that you cannot yet understand how this site works, since you just started playing. we do joke at the start of D1, because there is nothing else to go on...

Please do not take anything we say personally. we are generally just out to have fun, but do need a lot of evidence to start building cases. until people get to know your meta, it is much more likely that you get BWed. Since you dont know what a proper CC mafia defense looks like, you are more likely to get lynched, subsequently. by your 4th or 5th game, you should be all good. please bear with us. but seriously. check out some other games and look at the cases there. like matrix mafia day 3 or 4. or most other games around that time. they are very detailed. none of the current BWs hold any water, and they are not meant to. but if someone acts jumpy and defensive, the joke-votes tend to end.

saf, do you mean yomiel? its only scummy because he joined the site for mafia. then quit for a year immediately. then returns almost exactly a year later. after one year, plays some mafia. thats a lot of ones. he joins one game, and posts in one other thread. hmmm.... scummy? i thought so. scum like ones.

People are voting you because they think you are Mafia and Mafia wants to show Town defeat P

Because I am new, I have no way of knowing that you are not being truthful when you say stuff like that. I'm not new to people taking it easy at the start of the first Day, but not for long after.

I feel more determined than ever to be instrumental to a Town victory here, to prove my abilities. I go with my gut, and given the theme, you can't fault me for it. WWGD?

You can't say someone is acting like Mafia for joining, being turned off by the long phases, and then not playing. I was not even in a game at all, so how could that be a Mafia tell? I've posted a lot already, and I'm signed up for many games.

Vote Safariguy5 for being FOED. =)

And Yomiel, you're officially the first player I've met on this site who came for the mafia, not the Risk-like board game play. Very interesting!

Gotta be patient bud, people have RL's here (unlike mafia scum where people waste all their time on Mafia), so you may be in games where people take a long while to reply. Check the RT's though if you want the fast paced.

Anyway off for my final exam of the year :P See ya all when I get back!

Chill bro, First off its just a game.
Secondly it will pick up in due time.

Vote Yomiel.

P.S. FOED is where you make it to where you cant see the person you foed's posts, and they also cant join any games with you.

Ok you have to understand something here, the players here who play mafia, also for the most part have other commitments to this site. Some just have games they play, some have clan affiliations(games, wars, etc,) and some have other duties that help run the site.

So if you are looking for a fast paced mafia game, set back, this isnt the place for that under most circumstances.

There are some quality players here, but what you know about mafia from other sites Will Not Work Or Sometimes Even Apply Here. For instance if you draw a survivor role here, odds are you will get lynched for it lol. It is played in a completely different style than elsewhere.

Most lynches are a last minute speed lynch with little or no real evidence, which usually means some townie or most likely a survivor that has claimed.

So with those things in mind relax and enjoy the game,it could be over quicker than you think.

It's just a game, but that doesn't mean people should put off playing it. I mean, I came to play, but I'm being told I have to wait even though the game has started?

And everyone says it's a joke, but I don't see how being almost halfway to being lynched is funny. When so many people are doing it, that's not how it comes off.

The game doesn't have to be fast-paced, but it should at least be played.

It is being played, several other players in this game are watching what we are saying and paying attention to how it is said right now.

It is still joke vote stage but everyone is waiting to see if someone makes a mistake then it will get serious quick.

play your game.

I'm trying, but it' s just backfiring. Four people are voting for me, and I've already been told that people are just ignoring me. I don't like the idea of just sitting back and waiting for others to be more active.

This may be the first time I've come back after sleeping 8 hours and a page and a half of posts and I'm being told the game is going slowly.

This is the problem with starting to get serious too early though, someone wants to find someone to bandwagon too quickly and no one really has a good case. You can't just pop up with more joke votes out of the blue and with no one to vote no one has anything to say. at least that's usually how it goes. Right now, activity is decent. The game just started and while we don't have many serious votes, there's been a few pages of discussion.

As well there are very few people who can be on the site all the time. Everyone needs sleep most between 7 and 9 hours of sleep and a lot of us are working (I work roughly 25 hours a week on a summer job and there are some who have full time jobs).

The more people post, the easier it is to get reads on said people. If people hardly post at all, that can't really happen. I did manage to pick up on suspicious behavior on Squirrel's part and brought it to everyone's attention. It may not be a lot, but it stands out to me.

FOED is the name of the clan he is in. That was all that was said. It was a joke vote at this stage.

If you have played mafia before yomiel why does 4 votes have you so worked up? These were all jokes really and will most likely be removed later when a serious case is made.
