It's obvious you have problems understanding politics in merry Ole England and the People's Republic of China. Don't pretend to be some expert on Democratic politics in America.

Keep your expertise in what you know, having 5 year olds give consent to adults to have sex with them.

Do you deny that Hillary Clinton is going to become the Democratic Party's official presidential candidate while Bernie Sanders is consigned to the dustbin of history alongside other once-upon-a-timers such as Alan Keyes and Bill Bradley.

Would of loved seeing Biden run, but his family is priority. Talking about family tragedies, he has seen more than his share.

Bernie will place lots of pressure at the convention, to push for reforms that are desperately needed at the DNC.

Meanwhile, there's going to be real trouble brewing in Cleveland.

There never really was a race in the first place ... the super delegates gave it her from the start. You have to understand the logic of the liberals and their not words. When they say "progress" they want to go back to the old days of FDR. When they say "democracy" they really mean the majority votes the way they say they should. "Socialism is for the people, not the socialists."

No, the problem is with Corporate Democrats, they are just as beholden to their rich backers as the Republicans.

Trump is hurting the Republicans that are running for re-election and Trump is not helping with donors who normally dump lots of money to the GOP.

Looks like (at least now) the Republicans will lose the Senate.

I mean, you also said that Bernie would beat Hillary, so I think we'll be taking your predictions with a pinch of salt.

Clinton knows Bernie will support her in November, but she needs to win the hearts and minds of Bernie's supporters. She needs a real progressive to pick for VP or she risks alienating Bernie voters.

That remains to be seen. Neither of the Democratic Candidates who are in a primary are using the Trump connection at this time.

Seven Republican Governors said they will not go to Cleveland. This also includes Senators and Representatives.

These are generally "establishment" types anyway. These are the people who really don't want to be in the majority. They only want to be reelected and people in authority have to make unpopular decisions at times because they actually have to run the country. I wouldn't want to be an establishment these days either, but Trump has nothing to do with that.

So are you saying that these "establishment" types don't want to be an "establishment" type, and don't want to make any decisions or have any authority, and therefore are only opposing Trump to minimize themselves? Or is your post a very poorly worded attempt to say something that is totally NOT what you wrote?

I think your best bet is to simply claim "sorry, I was drinking", and leave it at that.

NO, I am saying that the purpose of "establishment" types is to remain "establishment" types. This is a lot like the Miranda clause, anything you say or do can and will be used by your opponent to defeat you. Being in the minority you can in turn promise to do things you know you can't deliver and since you can't deliver it because you are in the minority, the base will forgive you. Being in the majority means you have to actually give your stupid, ignorant base something which in turn will be used to rally the opposition. Fundraising is likewise easier when you try to argue that the problem is with the evil majority on the other side.

Trump will completely upset this apple cart. Being "establishment" is, by the way, highly profitable. Get elected to Washington DC and you will become rich before the end of your term, guaranteed. In Mordor on the Potomac, power is everything. Republicans hold office; Democrats hold power. This is the key.

So this explains why the Democrats had to hold a sit-in at Congress this week, while the Republicans shut off the cameras, laughed at them, and did everything just short of turning off the lights, right? Because the Democrats hold all the power? Yeah, cool story bro. Go be pseudo smart elsewhere.

Aside from a few attention-grabbing headlines, Trump's not that extreme. The US will not keel over and die when he is elected.

Yes. This was a publicity stunt. It was a way to raise MORE MONEY. And you know what ... it works!

Have you ever seen a Democrat in the minority? They fight tooth and nail for everything. Have you ever seen a Republican even when they had the majority in both houses (and when they had the majority in both houses and the Presidency) ever reverse the agenda of the Democrats? NEVER. Does Pelosi even look like the MINORITY leader? Of course not! Hell, even when in the majority the Republican leaders are generally the people of the "we can't do that yet" argument. At one point even Paul Ryan considered himself in the "minority" (when he had a majority of people in the house and the senate).

Republicans (as Andrew Wilkow used to say) need to "fight like Democrats." They don't because they don't want power, they just want to hold office. In the minority, Pelosi and Reed hold more power than Ryan and O'Connell. Don't think so? Where are the Obama vetos? Where are the government shutdowns (hint, the entire capitol shuts down every weekend)?

And? My original quote was ... "Republicans hold office; Democrats hold power. This is the key."

If you want to sit around and just hold office you are indeed (I Don't try to avoid the spam filter and if I was in charge you would be sentenced to an entire week of having the defense dice roll constant double 6's). Yes they have done it to themselves. That doesn't even address my argument.

In the majority or in the minority, the Democrats will use any tactic to advance their agenda and defeat the opposition.

In the majority or in the minority, the Republicans will allow Democrats to advance their agenda and complain that they can't advance theirs.

This is a case of logical suicide on the part of Republicans. It's stupid and batshit crazy.

I'm not batshit crazy, the Republicans in power are.
