Clinton won the state with 61.73% of the vote and a 30.11% margin, both the highest since Franklin D. Roosevelt's 66.95% vote share and 35.25% margin in 1936. This was also the first time Orange County voted Democratic since 1936, when Franklin D. Roosevelt swept every single county in the state. Trump's vote share in the state (31.62%) was the lowest for a major-party candidate since John W. Davis's 8.2% in 1924.

And in point of fact More Californians voted last month than in any election in state history. "About 14.6 million Californians ā roughly the population of the six states in New England and more than the population of all but four U.S. states as of 2015 ā cast ballots in the Nov. 8 presidential election, according to results certified by Secretary of State Alex Padilla."
Over half of the votes were mailed in before election day (58% to be exact).

Eventually we will have Medicare for all and real negotiations with the large Pharmaceutical Industry to lower drug prices.
I mean, if this site was worth half a damn, one could search to find me defending the ACA back in the day, though getting more and more frustrated as the dems caved more and more. It did some things well and others poorly or not at all. But what do we have to show for it? Care is still unaffordable and the policy is only vaguely popular. There's nothing to even build around. From the actual left, the Obama administration was a failure at every level, and Clinton represented more of the same, if not worse. The dems need to see where they have to go to win votes, and it's not farther right. Tjat is the takeaway from 2016.
