The mountains are there to create plausible continents and restrict attack routes.

Also, because they are there in real life and geographical accuracy is key.

tried new mountains they still suck.

I hate the gameplay of this map. You can hold either half with a single territory. Not good.

Same here. I think adding 1 (2 tops) more sea route should fix the problem.

I found mountains that I think I'm pretty fine with there is a couple options for you guys to vote on.

1st one doesnt look too good, but i like the other two, but try making a darker outline and darker shading to see if that improves it.
