4 medals will be awarded in this tourney.
1. Winner of the tourney - Tourney Medal
2. Whoever knocks out TheCrown, if it's one person - General Achievement Medal
3. Whoever has the most victories in games involving 3 or more players - General Achievement Medal
4. Whoever has the most victories in 1 vs. 1 games that you did not have 1st turn - General Achievement Medal
Here's how it will be played (these should all be fairly fast games, so I will work with freemiums):
Round 1:
1. Play 6 games of 1 vs. 1, each game randomly picked among the 19 maps used for the tourneys.
2. You will be on 6 different maps most likely.
3. Each game is worth 3 points if you win and were 1st to go in the game.
4. Each game is worth 4 points if you win and were 2nd to go in the game.
5. If you have 4 or more wins when you went 2nd, you will get a +5 bonus.
6. If you win all 6 games of 1 vs. 1, you will get a +5 bonus.
7. If you beat TheCrown in a 1 vs. 1 game, you will get doubles the points for that game, so 6 or 8.
8. You will be ranked by point totals for round 1, and the bottom 10% will be eliminated from the tourney.
Round 2:
1. The top 10 who finished with the highest points in round 1 and also the bottom 10 who did not get eliminated get to pick some maps for this round as follows:
#1 & last place = pick 10 maps of your choice from the 19.
#2 & 2nd to last = pick 9 maps of your choice from the 19.
#3 & 3rd to last = pick 8 maps of your choice from the 19.
etc.
2. The people in the middle will get randomly assigned to maps.
3. All points earned up to this point is secret so that you don't know who to target.
4. You will get:
One - 5 person game - worth 10 points
Two - 4 person games - worth 8 points each
Three - 3 person games - worth 6 points each
Four - 1 vs. 1 games - worth 3 or 4 points each, depends on if you went 1st or 2nd.
5. Top 50 advance
Round 3:
1. The new top 10 are now set aside, and there will be a point listing for each player.
2. The 40 others will be put into groups by ranking by points:
#11 & #21 & #31 & #41 = group 10
#12 & #22 & #32 & #42 = group 9
#13 & #23 & #33 & #43 = group 8
etc.
3. You play your group one 4 person game and also 3 games of 1 vs. 1, against each player.
4. The highest scorer of each group now gets a shot at knocking out a top 10 player.
5. The other 3 from each group are eliminated.
Round 4:
1. The high scorer from the 10 groups play their matching top 10 player:
Group 1 winner plays #1 ranked
Group 2 winner plays #2 ranked
Group 3 winner plays #3 ranked
etc.
2. This round will be 3 games of 1 vs. 1, the map choice is the ranked player's, but they must all be different.
3. At this point, we have 10 players left, and 10 that just got eliminated.
Round 5:
1. If the group winner beats a ranked player, that player is now the ranked player at that number. This can only be taken over by group winners.
2. Now #1 ranked plays #10
#2 plays #9
#3 plays #8
#4 plays #7
#5 plays #6
3. The higher tourney ranked person chooses 2 different maps, and the lower picks 1 in a best of 3 in 1 vs. 1 games.
Round 6:
1. The #1 ranked sits out and waits for the championship games.
2. The #2 ranked plays #5
3. The #3 ranked plays #4
4. The higher tourney ranked person chooses 2 different maps, and the lower picks 1 in a best of 3 in 1 vs. 1 games.
Round 7:
1. The winner from the 2 best of 3 matches play each other.
2. The higher tourney ranked person chooses 2 different maps, and the lower picks 1 in a best of 3 in 1 vs. 1 games.
Championship Round:
1. #1 ranked plays who won round 7 in best of 5, but #1 ranked gets to pick 3 different maps to do battle on and the other person picks 2 maps.
