Special Gameplay: Trench Warfare

With trench warfare you can only assault from regions held continuously since the start of your turn. If you conquer a region (or re-conquer a region) you cannot assault further from that region during the same turn. The one exception being 'killer neutrals' (explained on the Gameplay Notes page) from which you may continue assaulting. The game no longer involves steamrolling across the board. Instead you gradually advance your front!

Now, oaks, while that was funny, I think you know what I meant.

Will you update the first post with whether or not the tournament will have trench?

i am not required to post what this tournament is not. No Trench is not a setting i select therefore i do not have to spell it out. All games are automatically without Trench.

By that logic, you wouldn't have to state if a tournament is Sunny because you don't have to pick that setting. You also technically don't have to post any settings if the tournament is 2 player, Standard, Classic, Automatic, Sequential, Escalating, Chained, No Round Limit, and 24 hours (although that last one is implied since speed tournaments have a specific policy) because all of those are already picked when you start a new game.

That being said, please include whether or not your tournament will be using Trench Warfare, just like how you posted about all the other settings.

i have followed the rules in the Tournament Handbook.

Number of entrants (keep in mind, it should work out evenly all the way to the end).

Spoils
Reinforcements
Fog of War

please take the time to familiarise yourself with the rules you wrote before judging we have suddenly failed to comply with them.

So does that mean we can outlaw Round Limits and Trench Warfare in all tournaments since those aren't on the list? Just because those aren't specifically on that list doesn't mean that they are settings that can be ignored simply because you don't want to include them. The list will be updated, but that doesn't mean you can't include it now. A TD specifically asked you to address an issue with your tournament. If you do not wish to address it, then you don't have to run the tournament. Remember, there is also a clause in the requirements that just because a tournament was approved in the past does not mean the same or similar tournament will be approved in the present.

and i am following the rules you set out. your rules stated what needs to be in our threads.

i was not aware you now reported to the TD requesting more info. perhaps that should have been conveyed to us TO's.
