Re: SoC 1v1 Ladder Challenge
MG and I played the first two games, 2-0 in my favor. Is it ok if I don't play the final game? I'll also be withdrawing from the ladder after this set.

Re: China tries to invade Taiwan!!!
It's debatable whether China could Taiwan outright or not. They do have a sizable advantage, but Taiwan's not defenseless. However, China's not stupid. They won't risk all-out war with the US as long as there's a possibility of reprisal. If the leadership in China changes and becomes more hardline ...

True, true, but HK-47 is even more violent. =) A selection of his dialogue:
"There is a faction of meatbags called the Sith. They want what any rational meatbag would want – the power to assassinate anyone they choose at any time."

Re: Rogue One <assume spoilers>
Yeah, Donnie Yen's character even says, "There are no Jedi any more."
With Star Wars, different characters are force-sensitive. He did things like fight an entire squad of stormtroopers, walk where blaster bolts weren't, and shoot a TIE fighter out of the sky. I'd say he was force-sensitive, like ...

Donald Trump really risks angering China

Lots of websites have a policy of not feeding the trolls. Here, we invite them in, shack up with them, pay for their kids' college tuition, and leave them a generous selection of wines and cheeses on the bedstead at night time. =)

Dr McNinja isn't a comic I've followed. I read it every now and then, and it's wrapping up. Some of the latest scenes:

Re: The end of an era in Hong Kong
Short to medium term nothing changes. Long term Hong Kong transitions to being a proper Chinese city, not the outpost of the British empire that it still semi is.

Ha! Someone next to me just mentioned Trump, actually. I'm waiting to hear Jane Goodall speak in a little while, and two HKU students next to me were talking about how we can't let Trump destroy everything. =)

The point about LeBron James isn't completely accurate, actually. Yes, sometimes the person sitting for you is Chariot of Fire, but sometimes it's macbone, and that's not so good. =) I've had friends ask me to sit for them, and on some games, I just try to muddle through it (psst, don't ask Mac to ...
