Hello!
I don't know if something like this is feasible, but some friends and I have discussed several times during an "epic" battle that it would be a lot of fun to be able to replay the entire battle in quick time. Once in a while you get tangled up in a huge battle that goes on for weeks or ...

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
I'd really like to get this done. It kind of fizzled out on me. It's a long process and I lack the knowledge of graphics programs to make it the way that was being suggested. I was using a program that apparently isn't up to par so if someone who knows how to use a program wants to pick up where I ...

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
We haven't given up despite the lull in activity lately. I started a new job a few weeks ago and am on a rotating shift every 7 days so if I'm not working, I'm usually sleeping. I will get back to this soon.

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
OK I'll give Paint.net a try because GIMP has me all sorts of confused. I tried using your tutorials but sometimes I just get lost. My knowledge of terms and what certain tools do is very limited. It seems like multiple tools accomplish the same thing . My skills on graphic programs like these are ...

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
Ok... let's see.
You have a good layout on the map now, but overall, the graphics look... awfully blurry. It's like there's a gaussian blur filter applied on everything?
The territory names even look blurry. Also, the borders are really thick... I think the map could benefit from thinner borders ...

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
Ok, once again, an updated version. I rearranged the key and reworded the instructions. If this concludes the adjustments, can I request that we get the BETA process in motion? I'm anxious to try it out in gameplay

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
Looking for feedback on the font style/layout.
The coloured bonuses are nice and straight, all lining up neatly, but the 3 lines of Any Bridges giving 3, 7 or 15 bonus are skewed.
You seem to have some space above DAHNTAHN-7, so it might be OK to move all of them onto one column. This would ...

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
ah yes I can see how that might confuse people. You would have to control Veterans bridge and Liberty Bridge in order to fully utilize Crosstown Blvd, but the concept is the same. You can use Crosstown Blvd for easy access to the other side of the map. I'll change the wording. Thanks for pointing ...

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
OK after a long break from staring at this map (and some pressure from ckdoeswork) I finally decided to sit down and get back at it. I enlarged the map to make better use of the space, adjusted a few borders while I was at it and I'm not sure if I'm going to keep the style of the key/instructions ...

Just wondering when ckdoeswork and I can expect to hear anything back on this map. It was submitted a few weeks ago and we are just curious how far along the process is.

I'm no expert but I feel like a lot of those little lakes can probably go. They don't even look like they are a part of the game like an impassible or something.

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
the background is a historic map of Pittsburgh located on Pitt University's digital library http://digital.library.pitt.edu/maps/1872ind.html
I see what you are saying about the black line. It is obnoxiously huge. Guess since I've been staring at it for so long that I just learned to ignore it. Fresh eyes are good!

Updated for the latest in our work. How's she look? The slight pixelation is not on the original map. For some reason when I post as a JPEG is shows up like that

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
There will be a bridge. I purposely left out several bridges for the fact that I wanted you to tell me if the bridges that I drew and provided on this update were sufficient enough before I went ahead and finished the remaining bridges. If they still aren't good enough then I'd rather only have to ...

Re: Pittsburgh: Neighborhoods & Bridges
Ok this is an update of how things are going. I wanted to put this up and get more feedback before I continue in case I'm still not going down the right path. I feel like I have fixed the pixelation problems that everyone was talking about.
Also, I replaced pictures of the bridges with hand drawn ...
