i just got alerted to this post. figured I'd chime in. i've been a CC member since Feb 07, both premium and freemium, and I think if you look at the way my ranking has gone up and down you'll see I REALLY just play for love of a game I learnt to love as a kid

Guys, my apologies for the missed turns. I have been on safari for my best mates wedding, and relying on African broadband. (Though the last two rounds have not been ideal, as those that have played through them will testify)

OK... well, If I have understood everything correctly:

*NEW RULE: If the game is not over by the end of round 25, I will record your scores for the tournament by number of troops if there is no fog. If there is fog, everyone left will receive the average of the points left.

Winner 10 points
All Othes 4 points
Obviously winning by objective would be a good thing in a close race

how did u score europe 1914, colson?

I scored it 10 for me and 6 for you and the other player left on the board once the objective was met. The rest were 5-1 depending on how they finished.
I dont think thats right - have a look at the way the points were scored in Alpha group game 28

So are you counting "guaranteed" wins also, or just scored ones? I have a real time spreadsheet and it's way off from yours too .
The way I normally score is minimum points already obtained ( So if its a non-objective game, and there are already 4 people eliminated, I score everyone left at 5 ...

My scoring is real time... so for instance if 3 people are eliminated from a game they get 1,2 and 3 points... I give the remaining players 4 points (as all remaining players can't get any less than 4 points). That is much better scoring version than getting 0 points until the game is over. Under ...

Does anyone have updated scores for Mike group?

Seems like there is a slight error in the score:

Group X (3/4 games completed)
Jondalar - 18
dustin800 - 22
Moneymatt - 2
Arrakis - 22

I should be on 24 after 3/4 games - I should have gotten double points for my map.(5011413)

I have the final scores calculated as:

I'm just doing mine for in depth analysis Dazoot, and to a bit greater depth as I count all points secured, not just points from finished games, so same as last round i'll be updating every few days with the qualifying chances for my group and a bit of commentary(player x needs y amounts of points ...

I just got a pm from astrowaro. He just got a new job and cannot play that many games. You guys need to find us a replacement for our group...india.

Perhaps if you don't want to "overpay"---play those 8 months as if they were a year. Think you'd play 500 games in a year? Play 500 games in those 8 months. You'll get your money's worth then.

How many points generally puts you through this round?

I figured at the start of the round a target of 380 would be definite...
based on an equal share of the points, (8x10 pts, 8x7pts ,..., 8x1 pt)
But if you talking absolute minimum you'd need to skew that for the players that do really badly ...
