Re: Operation Drug War (Updated 1/8/2011) [Graphic Touchup]

=thumbs up=

does the site have a separate legend section yet? imagine how cool this map would be if you could use the whole 800x800 or whatever on the map itself.

If at some point you can post just the main image (no text, symbols, borders) that would be very cool to see. not sure if that's your ...

Re: Baltic States V1

I like the unique bonus system.

For Latvia, I think currently while being in the middle is tough, +3 for 3 seems a bit high. That's where everyone is going to focus. Get a nice drop there and you're in control.

I might drop Estonia to +2 for every 4, Latvia to +2 for every 3, and Lithuania as +1 ...

so am I understanding correctly that one can receive idea and gameplay stamps and have very basic graphics?

seems like a good idea to me. get the gameplay done and have the graphiciticians work do their job without gameplay updates.

also good in that I can get the gameplay done and turn it over to ...

Re: Révolution de Foundry

How does removing a map benefit anyone? If you don't want to play a map then don't play it.

If a map maker put hours and hours of work into a map and saw it "relegated" then you've removed incentive for them to keep working on maps. Cairnswk has made a ton of maps. I'll guess 30 or so. A lot of his ...

no thoughts on the idea to make sure all the army circles are the same in terms of brightness/colour?

It doesn't matter what's underneath as there's always going to be army numbers over them

Re: Germany Graphics ONLY Revamp Competition

Mr. Benn is talking about moving army circles and the physical location of borders.

People think you are saying changing the actual gameplay (eg: you make Berlin and Dresden connect when currently they do not)

I'm unsure as to what you mean. What I mean is, there are impassable mountains where ...

Re: Germany Graphics ONLY Revamp Competition

I've always said that I think the large OR small thing is a bad idea. when you're doing mass votes from the public, you want them to be as close as possible. Either require both (seems like a lot of work). Or, require one or the other. I'd go with the small map since we've been told on numerous ...

Re: [Official] Classic Revamp (V8, page 24, 11/21/09)

does the large map have to be so big?

840 is the max

800x433 is art
750x400 is shapes

I want to say original was even slimmer than 750

it really just doesn't need to be this big. the max really should only be used when necessary.

So it's like WM's excel thingy but in GUI? Sounds good. Maybe a little better looking at some of the options that you're proposing.

If you can combine this with MapAssist (jota's) and the 88 cursor thing (mr. benn's showed this I think). Then you've put everything we need into one spot.

Those ...

Re: Land and Sea [Beta]

I just played this map for the first time. 3 game series on it. I won 2-1 due to dice in a 1 vs 1, but both players made many mistakes thinking that each area touching the water could attack it

Re: Land and Sea [Beta]

Possibly fix the borders for ocean parts that touch land territories that they can't attack (example: IN2 and EU7.)

Their touching is unnecessary and confusing. Change the borders a bit, and for certain other instances (AT5/AT7/AF5 border, etc. etc.)

Other than stuff like that, good map. Maybe ...
