I put a ticket in and complained when someone gave me 1 star for everything in a speed game including attendance. I never missed a moved the whole game (in fact I think I've only ever missed one move in the past 6 months!). Nothing they could do - they just encouraged me to debate it in the forum.

I think we just have to accept that it will happen now again. Interestingly there seems to be a correlation between me receiving bad feedback in speed games and when I win the games.

So to answer you question, unfortunately no.

All stars are good stars, it is the giver who is bad.

More pertinately, join the chorus requesting a change, but try to come up with some kind of solution. You will find plenty of ideas on lacks thread.

Can't the moderators learn that whatever rating system they try and invent, it is going to fail miserably?

I have to laugh at the star system...I have received a few 1 star ratings from people...and my attendance is very very good..so there is no justification for the 1's. Even with these unrealistic 1's, eventually It does seem to balance out.

However I know of a person here that received all 1's from a busted multi, so they put in an e-ticket to have it removed. The response from cc was, that they needed to work it out with the person who put the rating in. WTF???
The person who left the rating is a busted multi...shouldn't their ratings be removed, instead of leaving them, and as a result sully an innocent with an unfair rating?
HOw does a person work it out with a busted multi, and besides, once the rating is placed, isn't it permanent, making it impossible for the person who left it , to remove it?

There is so much fault with this system, but it really doesn't matter. I mean the average should be around 3 stars, yet most people are between 4 and 5 stars. If we were all excellent players, our scores would average over 3000 for each person. So it just goes to show that the star system leans more towards overly good ratings. The occasional bad rating here and there, simply brings us to a more realistic star rating.

but cc is rated on a curve. not everyone can have 3000 points, its impossible. but i like the new system, i do think that the mods should be hunting out these 1 star bandits that shift them out to everybody they play that they dont know in rl. i mean if 1 person gives everybody that they play 1 star on everything, then all of those should be removed.

and am i true in thinking bigbullyweedave, that you are insinuating that critics of the system are purposefully giving out shitty ratings in order to force cc to change? because thats ridiculous, and those people should be punished. you cant get angry about something not working if your purposefully going out of your way to f*ck it up

I agree with those who find the rating system worthless.
As for eliminating all those ratings where someone gives a 1 to everyone, I give a 5 to everyone, wouldn't the same logic dictate that all those be removed?

On the old feedback system I never gave a negative rating. With this new system, I refuse to give a negative, which I feel is anything under a 5.

I saw a comment by someone who mentioned going back and removing ratings from anyone who'd left him a 1, and putting that person on the foe list. I saw the logic, and adopted that policy.

I won't leave a negative rating, I do like the foe list.
