Yep, just 4 more required. It looks unlikely that (at this rate) many people will join in the 2 weeks after season commencement, so if we do get extras, we may need to have playoff matches at the end of the season to decide on Division distribution.
I think I'll go with something like this for next season:
16-19 teams - Division 1, Division 2 (equal # of teams)
20-23 teams - Division 1 (7-8 teams), Division 2 East (half of remainder), Division 2 West (half of remainder)
24+ teams - Divisions 1, 2, 3, etc (8 teams each)

Re: Sports Week - News, Results, Updates
e_i_pi wrote:A new poll is up. The question is:
Would you like to see an option to play home games on a map other than Classic?
I would like to keep the integrity of the countries, so only have regional maps that are reasonably small, and non-themed maps (ie no WWII etc). The available maps would be:
- Jamaica - Caribbean Islands
I'm thinking you decide your home map for the entire season, though you will always get the choice to play on your dedicated home map, or the default Classic map.
New rules would have to be made for each map, specifically, goalscorers for continents, and the point at which it becomes a draw. I don't mind organising this, but I'd like feedback before I go ahead with it
That's like, one of my favorite maps so I voted yes, but it doesn't matter to me. Either way would be fine.

Re: Inaugural U9's World Soccer League 1v1 Classic (13/16+)
Looks like we might need a bit of consultation on this one, as the voting is straight down the middle.
What I might do, if it's about 50/50, is run 2 cup tournaments during season, both using this option. That way, the integrity of the league is retained, and we get to see what it's like, and whether it can undergo review for next season

Okay, I've amended the idea of home maps, as the poll is still kind of split. You can see the amendments here. Feedback, as always, appreciated

Re: Inaugural U9's World Soccer League 1v1 Classic (14/16+)
With this new change, what is the purpose of having home maps if half of your home games could be on Classic anyways? Also, let's say someone else has a home map you don't like, can you have it played on Classic even though you may have a different home map as well? My suggestion is either have home maps or not. And if so, any team can use classic if they want but all road games would be played on opponents map. Just my 2 cents though.....

Re: U9's World Soccer League 1v1 (16/16+) RESERVES REQD
League will commence ASAP!
Reserves are welcome.
Reserves will be able to play immediately!
Reserves will have to play backfilled games to make up for games missed during the start of the league. Reserves joining after game 4 will be put in Group C. This group must get 4 players minimum in order to playoff for Divisons in season 2. If less than 4 reserves join after week 4, and before the end of the season, then (I will panic). Seriously though, I'll sort something out. I'd say a few exhibition matches against players from Groups A and B, and then I'll make the final determination on Divisions at the end of the season.
Reserves will be able to play in the mid-season mini-cup tournament provided they join before half the season is over (week 8-ish).
