Post by secondheaven »

is it possible for a rating for turns taken, there are so many deadbeats, i think there should be penalties for those who miss a certain amount of turns, is this possible????

There is, it is called Attendance. We both have 100% of turns taken. Image

Maybe have a 4th star rating, "attendingness", which would cover speed of turns taken. For example, deliberately prolonging a game due to imminent losing would be a 1 star, while playing quick games would be a 5.

Didn't we use to have that, and it was replaced by the "Turns Taken" percentage? I never really understood what the use of it was before, to be honest. In order to use it effectively, you'd have to be looking back through the logs for every game.

Yes, the rating for attending was replaced by the percent of turns taken so if you are too lazy to check and see what the turns taken is that it's your fault for being lazy. That said nobody appreciates deadbeats, so it's their fault for doing it. ;)

The solution to slow-players, and turn-missers is available to everyone, and only costs 25 dollars.

Does this mean that Premium Membership will guarantee me no slow turn takers or turn missers? Or even games where no one is booted out for missing 3 turns in a row? It happend to me so many times? If people are eliminated because they miss 3 turns do they have any other penalty other than the points they would have lost anyway?

well laziness is one factor but i was hoping for something more comprhensive, say near their rank, there is another rank for speed or reliability

that doesnt stop slow players, but im more interested in people being penalized for missing a turn, n sum how rewarded for never missing

This is exactly what Hitler did for the Jews... gave them a star... how nice. You gonna gas deadbeats as well? NO! Then they don't need a star thankyou very much.

I thought exactly the same thing when looking at this thread... maybe you should change it to "a designation for deadbeats"

I've deatbeated several games, do I get a star too? O:)

Oh, and how is a star going to be easier to identify a deatbeat by than their turn % rate?

That is an even worse system. I have been kicked out of about 10 games. A new player has played 15 games and been kicked out of ten games.

Your system shows both me and him as being kicked out of 10 games, which the turns taken stat actually tells you whether or not you need to watch for the player.

Then why am I not on your foe already? I just checked. By your logic, because I have deatbeated 10 games or so, I should be on your foe by now.
