BOB just died -- he was nuked by an update!

FYI, the BOB menu is still on the home page and this forum page, but is no longer on the game pages -- and of course all the BOB features no longer function in the games.

BoB has just died on me too. (But it was NOT from an update, as far as I know)
It shows up on left with the other menu options, when I'm in the Main Menu/Home page,
But as soon as I enter a game it's menu vanishes.
It's possible I changed a setting but I've played around with every setting I can find, but still can't get it work when in a game.

This only happen about an hour ago.
I'm on my 'man-cave-in-the-shed' computer. Gunna go inside and check if it's happening on the computer in Bedroom unless my mother
has taken over my room to watch 'The Apprentice' while she also using my computer looking for (more) junk to buy on E-Bay!!!

EDIT: Just checked my computer inside and BoB has the same problem on that too.

I sure hope it doesn't take a week to resurrect Bob like it did with the watched games! If this keeps up I just might quit the site and go back to chess!

I think it was an update, actually. We have Quick Reply back and links to game instructions in the game screen.

Quick Reply has been back for a few days, actually. The instruction links weren't intended to be released yet, I'm going to look into why it was released early.

Yes, it's from the update. The new in-game tooltips are conflicting with it.

Well, tool tips are gone but BOB is back! My vote is to keep BOB!

BOB seems to be working for me! It's on my game page, I can take snapshots, view snapshots etc. it's the ghost of lack playing havoc! I mention the extra mod hacks I'm using

I am running Bob 5.2.3 and am not having any problems so I would guess that it was an update. Someone informed me that the previous update was causing some problems so I never bothered to update it. If you have access to the previous version then you could probably roll back the update.

I have BOB and it works ...except I do NOT have the BOB odds calc my friends said was with it. Do I need to DL something else and do I have to turn it on and off when I do?

BOB does not calculate odds. You want the Assault Odds script. Get it via its User Guide here: viewtopic.php?f=527&t=139337&p=3404232#p3404232
