TFFS has 3 people who've predicted. If every clan got this many, we'd be at 60 in no time.
taking a break from cc, will be back sometime in the future.

Any idea when we are going to get privs for this?
I'm off all week, so would be handy to be able to create the games ready for inviting on the day

33 now, only one prediction made the last 3 days. There's another week (or so) left to enter in predictions.

All match ups that have a pairing listed should be started on schedule, Aug 1. A reminder to all leaders will be sent shortly.

40 Predictions have been entered. Only a day left to get them in! If we can push that number a little higher, then I buy premium to the prediction contest winner. Get your predictions in! The easiest premium you'll ever get ;)

IcePack wrote:Matches can be negotiated, yes. As an organizer I would appreciate keeping round limits if it is. However, if it isn't used then it will be allowed unless it seems to be holding up the event. If it appears to be holding the event up, then it'll get changed to a "no". The intent of this event is to be rather quick.

I know there's the opinion out there, and for other events I would definitely consider it. For this one, my preference is no trench. If its individually negotiated, then I would watch carefully to make sure its not holding up other wars (IE, everyone is completed except a war that used trench).

I meant to do this ages ago, but only just remembered.
I've played 124 trench matches 1vs1.
3 have gone beyond 20 rounds.
1 of those was das schloss, and 1 was my opponent effectively holding me hostage for about 10 turns due to no knowledge of the map until i told him how to win the game
none have gone beyond 30 rounds

In our first round tie in this comp my trench matches were the first to finish, not going beyond round 9 in any

Only posting this to show you that it's not something to worry about in future. Too many people have misconceptions about trench

At the end of this event, I'll review all trench games that were played and see about it next year.

I agree with kizkiz with trench being misconceived in this manner. However, I see no issue with having a round limit. Where trench can actually take a lot longer is in an 8 player standard game, but those take longer anyway if the players all are playing it well.

Agreed chap. I'd advocate a round limit in clan/tourneys. As much to stop stupid map/setting selections as anything

can we do Unlimited forts on the Trench Warfare map? It's more of a "separated start" than is Arms Race!, which is on that list...
