This is still miswritten in the PRIME line, btw

if u're happy that v28b does what u want, then i'll load it to the beta site.

The Map Inspect has gone missing or doesn't work. Can you check on that? Without it I can only look line by line. Not efficient.iancanton wrote:thx for the second pair of eyes. i've picked up another error, which happened when i deleted too many "-", including the ones which specify the name of one of the buttons!
does v28c look better?

while clans and tournament players are likely to avoid using pi-school as their home map if u do this, i believe that reducing to n1 the starting neutrals on all of the green keys will serve to speed up the early game.HitRed wrote:Should we make 8 of the Green Keys random starting. No longer starting neutral?
Players might find it more interesting. Likely ".", 2, 3, 4, 6, 9, "/", "-"
I didn't include 1, 5 because they can attack 2 Display Characters.
"/" and "-" would be +1 beginning but that would be interesting. Small Unbalanced drop.
Please upload it. No more changes!iancanton wrote:here's Pi-School_v28d.xml to amend the bonus name from "Four Character Displays" to "4 Display Characters".
if it looks good to u, then i'll upload it to the beta site.

iancanton wrote:barring any late discoveries, i expect the live beta period to end after we see a decent number of v28 games.
after maps move into live beta or full play, it is the responsibility of mapmakers to ensure that they respond to further feedback in a timely and constructive manner. to this end, it will be helpful during the live beta stage for the primary mapmaker to nominate a map trustee to act temporarily on his or her behalf should it happen that, for an extended period at some point in the future, he or she can no longer be contacted by the foundry.

What is still needed to quench this map?
This post was new to me, and would explain why we haven't seen any movement these past few years. @iancanton, can you confirm whether or not this is correct?Shannon Apple wrote:Mad, I asked that question a long time ago because I quit the site for a while and came back to see the same maps there. I was told that they needed to keep some maps in "Beta" because of the medal.
Sure, the underlying issue is that there are no new maps being made. And I can tell you, part of the reason was some of the snotty people who frequented that forum. They couldn't be nice and steer creators in the right direction. If people shoot your ideas down in a not nice way, you are less likely to come back with another idea. Some have a thicker skin and take harsh critique, others not so much. Critique is completely fine, so long as it's constructive. If one can't be constructive, then they shouldn't be giving critiques. Maybe it would be different now, there are less of those people around.![]()
I'm a graphic designer professionally. I absolutely COULD create maps, but I had no motivation to do so because of how people behaved in that section.
