Now, to address some of Duk's response, NO matter how well things are going, one is able to find a number SOMEWHERE which shows things are NOT PERFECT. So, such data, Duk, indicates are realignment of resources (capital, workers, equipment) to be better utilized.
I think most of us acknowledge that AI will be disruptive to the Economy. And that is what makes the US Economy so productive and good for most folks: The ability to change course as needed to take advantage of new tools, resources, and technology. And yes, some workers and some people and some regions suffer during the transition. One key is to keep the suffering to a reasonable minimum and unemployment money from the Government helps with that. Can the worker use that time to find another job? NOT everyone finds a comparable job and often requires moving and relocation of families.
And (last point for now) Trump is using the tools at his reach to help bring back some manufacturing job to help some folks. It is NOT perfect, but is the first President in recent memory to help the American worker in a significant way. Clinton, hailed as a guru of the Economy, actually caused many US Jobs to go to Mexico and Canada. I am not sure that NAFTA helped the American worker overall.

Most of these losses came in California, Texas, Michigan, and other states where manufacturing is concentrated. The vast majority of workers who lost jobs from NAFTA suffered a permanent loss of income.
